Hi. I was just wondering whether gals recognise something called a slut phase. Does it apply to you or do you have a steady sex life. For those who recognise a slut phase, have you passed it, are in it right now or do you think it's still ahead of you? What did you actually do to merit the term "slut phase?"

 

The four years of college are more or less the standard time to do this, and I followed that pattern. I certainly didn't switch to total monogamy afterward, but a big slowdown was inevitable after graduation. You know you're never again going to live where there are so many young, single people in one place, and four years of hedonism is enough to make most people feel like they've pretty much done everything. Even after three years, some of the casual sex at parties was starting to feel like pointless repetition. I probably cut back 50% or more in that final year.

and it sort of bugs me that men who have hook-ups are "studs" but we get called "sluts" for the same exact thing. You can't "become a stud" without someone to be with, quit name calling the ones who assist in your "stud-hood"

 

I have a couple of friends I call sluts. One is married and it kinda drove his wife crazy for a while when she found out he fuck half the town. And the other one is still out there fuckin what ever will let him so I guess he's still in his slut phase.

 

I don't think I ever had a slut phase unless you could call being married twice and a few live in boyfriends in between for different lengths of time a slut.
I had my first young and was with him for 9 years, others, a year to three years. Never jumped man to man because I was able to find guys who matched with me I guess, and I didn't let them in till I knew they did. Some relationships were killed by having to move, one over drugs,,, shit happens but I was also too scared of catching something or becoming pregnant because my parents were all over us with sex talk to hop in with anyone for a one nighter. But ya, I like sex, I just have to know it's what I want with the guy and he isn't carrying anything bad.

Yes, I definitely go through phases. Stay with one person for a while, then . . . Vacations or when I am away from home is the worst. Yes I am a slut when I leave town but I don't care.

 

I think men and women alike have slut phases. Usually in that 18 to 25 age range. Vacations have a way of bringing it out as others have said too.
