    Has anyone here had it?
if so, are you happy with the results and how much was it?

**for those of you who dont know what it is.
A female circumcision is when the hood of the clit is removed so that the more sinsitive part of the clit is exposed. It's supossed to make sex more plesurable for a woman and increase the chance of a stronger orgasum.**

Female circumcision is not intended to make sex more pleasurable, the clit is usually removed to DECREASE sexual pleasure. It's used alot in arranged marriages. BAD IDEA in my books. There is a REASON why people are trying to make this illegal.

wow, I had no idea they were trying to make it illegal...but when i was looking up info there are different typs of femal circumcision.

one surgery the whole clit is removed and another surgery only the hood is removed.

I was just interested...I had never heard of it until today. thanks for your imput! :)

There may actually be a real female circumcision where only the hood is affected, but the term has been a way to euphemize what is actually a clitoridectomy, or the removal of the clit.

That barbaric mutilation is performed by whigged-out moslems, mostly in Africa, but I suppose in parts of the middle east as well. It happens in Europe where moslems now live and occasionally in the U.S. but it is not a medically warranted surgery so it is their shamans doing the mutilation and I believe arrests for child abuse have been made.

I routinely take "journalists" to task for using the term "female circumcision" when referring to these clitoridectomies and some lamely try to tell me that it the accepted word. Bullshit, I tell them. That is the ignorant way of not reporting the true barbarity of these religious mutilations of girls and young women.

    whoa! thats horrable!
Doing that to young children is just wrong.
I mean I some what understand male circumcision, because of the health risks that can stem from not being circumcized. but at the same time, I truly believe, weather your male or female, religouse or not. Allow the child to grow up and make a choice as to what they want to do in that department. I mean after all they are the ones who have to live with their choice the rest of their life.

As far as I have read on here, alot of men have been circumcized and they never had a choice in the matter and alot of them wish otherwise.

I understand that circumcision is some thing that has been passed on for ages. and i dunno, maybe because male circumcision has been around so long is why it has been widly excepted. But either way you look at it, Male or female circumcisions are both mutilation...there is a reason you were born with a forskin or a clit!!!

SAY NO TO CIRCUMCISIONS, STAY NATURAL, THE WAY GOD MADE YOU! lol:D

"This site is dedicated to the surgical removal of the clitoral hood (prepuce) with the result that the clitoral glans (the tip of the clitoris) is left permanently exposed. This procedure (which is sometimes also called "hoodectomy" or "clitoridotomy") is undergone as elective surgery and its purpose is the enhancement of sexual response. It is therefore not at all to be confused with clitoridectomy, excision, infibulation (also known as "Pharaonic circumcision") or any other form of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), all of which are generally performed on non-consenting women or girls and are intended to minimize or eliminate altogether their enjoyment of sex and all of which are sometimes misleadingly called "female circumcision"; The Webmaster of this page wholly supports international efforts to eliminate these forms of FGM."

(The site below is where I got this quote from....so there IS a female circumsition were only the hood of the clit is removed...and yes glands are exposed so that you can have more plesure during intercorse....anyway...I found it interesting...
just wondered if anyone here has had it done)

circumcision of the female is illegal without consent in the U.S., adults is still legal and often called clitoral unhooding

the clitoris being removed is the most extreme form, just like male circumcision has many forms, with the american version being in the middle, some doctors remove the frnulum which even pro circumcision people agree is highly sensitive

phillipenes is a cut but nothing removed, just hangs on the end, but the slit exposes the head, in some tribes it included holes around the base of the penis

well i was considering "unhooding" lol because of the stimulation that comes from it.
but what i've heard from other women, they said that you can get the same kind of stimulation from a hood pircing. I might concider that insted.
    Its less...uhhh...perminent. lol
Surgery makes gives me the willies.

thanks for youre imput ladies and guys...

Just like male genital mutilation, female circumcision is a primitive, brutal practise intended to socialise people. You undergo the ritual of bodily marking in order to ensure that you are accepted by your peer group.

Marking the body is the oldest, most cruel form of creating identities. Our cave-dwelling forefathers did it, and some primitive cultures still use this technique today.

Modern societies have other ways to construct identities and belonging. They don't cut into the flesh.

Some Jews, Americans and Arabs still use the primitive practise of male genital mutilation to indicate that their men belong to the same fundamentalistic religion.

Primitive African and Islamic societies use female genital mutilation to indicate the same for their women.

Both practises should be made illegal, because they constitute cruel human rights abuses. And because there are more mature, rational and modern ways to create identities.

Ok, anyone interested in the topic of female circumcision, or if you're just shocked by its brutality, I highly recommend Infidel, by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. It's the auto-biography of a woman who has experienced first hand (female cicumcision on herself and) the ignorance and oppression of the fundamentalist muslim world; where female circumcision is common practice.

or simply look at america and what we do to males, a lot of people may attack me on this, but it is essentially the same thing with the same effects, if we speak out we get criticized and laughed at as much as women who speak out in those countries, while it may not be done specifically for religion, americans do act like it is

Uuuuhhhh...no. When males get circumcised, we can pee without having pain. We can have sex or masturbate without having pain. When females get circumcised, peeing is painful. Sex and masturbation is painful. Honestly, male circumcision doesn't do shit so stop bitching. It's female circumcision that we should worry about. It makes daily life painful.

Something about the ancient Israelites symbolizing the whatever convenant with Abraham or something or other Torah bullshit.

An actual clitoral piercing is rare. Most women are not anatomically built for it. However, hood piercings are much more common, both vertical and horizontal (VCH and HCH). I have both. The vertical provides more stimulation. The curved barbell rests on the clitoral shaft and during sex it rubs the clit(woo hoo!!) The horizontal is usually more decorative. If placed properly the ball of the captive bead ring will rest on the clitoris, thus providing some stimulation. The VCH is the best for that. Another interesting one is called a triangle. Some call it a deep horizontal piercing. It goes behind the clitoral shaft so you get stimulated both from the front and the back. Again, not all women are built for this piercing. You have to be able to "lift" the clitoral shaft away from the body to be able to do it. It's much more advanced and painful. The VCH and HCH are over very quick with a minimal amount of pain or bleeding.Pain lasts about 2 seconds..You are more nervous about getting it than the actual pain of the piercing..lol.. Healing time is about 4 weeks but usually the piercer will tell you to wait at least 2 weeks.. The temptation to play before completely healed it great ..You "know" it's there and want to touch it. But it is a puncture wound just like any piercing. You cannot go swimming or exchange body fluids until it is completely healed. Sex with a condom is a must until fully healed. Spontanous orgams are a myth. I have never had an orgasm from walking up a flight of stairs or sitting..Tight pants however, take on a new meaning ;) and intercourse is more amazing than before my piercings.

One thing you might want to think about with the "unhooding" procedure is that your clitoris will permanently be exposed thus causing it to lose sensation over time. Plus it will rub on clothing all the time..Ouch

Hope this wasn't too detailed and helps with your decision. If you have more questions you can pm me..

you are comparing the harshest of fgm with the lightest of male circumcision

in a standard female circ nothing would cause those problems, however in the most extreme circumcisions which are rarely done women are sewn up and that is what you are referring to. painful masturbation is acommon problem for male circumcision, the foreskin is designed to hold the skin at point where the skin is stretched all the time, the ridged band holds it in front of the glans, so growth of shaft skin occurs all the time including when flaccid, in a circumcised penis the skin is only stretched when erect which can lead to painful erections.

however there are many complications of circumcison, some of which can cause the same problems you listed above:

    Aesthetic damage
    Phimosis
    Hairy shaft
    Haemorrhage
    Meatal stenosis, meatal ulcer
    De-gloving
    Urethrocutaneous fistula
    Infection including MRSA
    Hepatitis
    Neuroma
    Blockage of the Urethra
    Buried penis
    Penoscrotal webbing
    Deformity
    Necrotising fasciitis (Galloping gangrene)
    Priapism
    Oxygen deprivation
    Clamp injuries
    Loss of glans
    Major damage, unspecified
    Ablation (removal) of the penis
    David Reimer
    Others
    Death

The harshest of Female Genital Mutilation (types 1,2 and 3) are the most common forms of it. And can you point FGM that's done in the West?

Standard Female Circumcision? What does that mean?

Women aren't circumcised. Adolescent African and Middle-Eastern girls are circumcised. They are sewn up, leaving a pencil-sized hole for menstruation and urination.
