It's designed to sell you shit. Plays on your insecurities, & creates new ones to sell you shit.

When's the last time a guy refused to screw you because you had split ends? ;)

    ^^^ LOL, no shit!
That reminds me of those new "hairapy" commercials where the dude narating it is critisizing these already "perfect" looking women saying that their hair is frizzy nad flat and split and all that shit. Yeah, with the girl that has split ends, he says, "how do you ever expect to find a man with split ends like that?" or something. Seriously, things like this make you wonder if women really have come a long way. That sounds like something that would have been on an ad in the 40's.

Here's a good way to raise self esteem.

    Don't watch:

    • Oprah
    • Dr. Phil
    • ANYTHING on the Lifetime Channel
    • The View
    • anything that stresses fashion, the "right way" to "attract men" or the "right way" womyn should look (this would include many "womyn's magazines" like Cosmo, Glamor and even Playboy)
People in the media are messed up. Oprah has more issues than most of the people on her show. She dismisses her issues by trying to normalize her own problems and make non-issues (like, say, often undangerous activities like some types of recreational drug use, loving one's children or marragie) into "danger zones" for womyn. The real danger zones are the Mall and Lifetime Channel and Oprah herself. :)
