Well i finally got one lock and i cut into it .. what did i find? WAX EWWWW well you know... i did what was right. i cut them off. Its already starting to naturally natt I feel sooo good about this very empowering, i did leave one little lock on my head (((I'll post pictures later of the gross wax left over in the hair)))
wow all done, make sure yo post em on knottylocks. i have been considering the same thing but the reason im not is beause ive only had wax in them once, i then went straight home and washed it out. So im sticking with em for a while. But the reason i wanna cut em is because i dont like their size and would prefer them to go natural, i think i will when i finish school this year.
....... wow! It was probably a wise choice but your locks were so beautiful..... I'm sure your new ones will be beautiful as well though!
yeah im the positive vibes @ knottylocks as well,, heheh small cyber world. Yeah another friend of mine who was the manager of the wilderness and my djembe teacher had dreads for 7 years, he just cut them off 2 months, ever since then i have had an inkling i would prefer to let em be n just take their natural course. I dont think its a matter of having "true" locks its more what i feel as being more real, not forced sectioned dreads, but ones which decide to do it on their own. hehe im rambling on,, i hope that makes sense.
Nooo!!! Seems like we are having more and more people chop the locks. I am glad you are happy with your decision. It sitll crosses my mind to do the same. I am sure I will one of these days!
*sniffles* i loved your dreads!....i brushed mine out too..i still have like 5 in the back that hurts so bad i can brush them. i didnt brush them because of you dont worry hehe
