So true. This is tangential, but I find it a very helpful exercise to think about my last moments alive - what I would do in the event of a plane crash, what I would do if I knew I was about to drown or be killed. Very helpful to face these things sooner rather than later, in my opinion. Sure, I could just ignore death, but I would rather dwell on it until I'm ok with it. I've certainly made a lot of progress doing just that over the last couple of years.
Try to consider life like a preparation for a transition to another dimension! I believe that dying is not the end, I believe it is the begining, but we are alive with the reason, so don't hurry to make a transition. Injoy every second of this beautiful life and if the time for transition comes, it comes, it's not difficult at all, just another begining!
breathe deep. 600 miles an hour, blank faces, calm as hindu cows . i think it's more about acceptance, recognition, of fear than death of fear. fear is half of the truth... but then, if you accept fear, it disappears as an experience, doesn't it? but it doesn't stay that way... unless you become enlightened. what i've learned is, if you think you've killed fear, when it rises up in you again you think everything you thought you realized can't be true. but really, fear is just as real as anything else, it's an absolute reality just like any other. every reality is a choice, every reality is absolute regardless of paradox. fear is truth, fear is love, fear is essential, but optional once you become conscious of the fact that you are making it all up.
I don't know if I would say fear is love. I feel like fear is all about struggling against reality, whereas love is about accepting reality. Fear is focusing on the negatives and all of the bad things that can happen, whereas love is focusing on all of the positives and the good things that can happen. It is true that only an enlightened being is truly completely free of fear, and I can't say I am there yet, but I think that we can all benefit from acknowledging and working with our fears and overcoming them. Perhaps the death of all fear is not a realistic goal for most, but I do believe that 99.9999% of people could greatly reduce the amount of fear and anxiety in their lives and be better off for it.
i meant fear is love in a more all-encompasing infinite way. like if you believe love is the ultimate truth, that includes fear.
