nah, Wild Mood Swings is what the kids would call "pimp Shit!!"

it exhibits the different talents and writing styles that Robert Smith can do

almost impossible, but the first cure album i bought was PORNOGRAPHY and it remains a favourite. the wall of sound, acid-fractured lyrics and intense tone make for a listening experience unlike anything else.

other goodies: faith, the top, bloodflowers, seventeen seconds.

anyone here know 'the glove'? smith and steve severin of the banshees made a side project called the glove, and recorded just one album: blue sunshine. this is as magical as pornography but on the sunnier side of the trip. they used an unknown female vocalist and not-the-usual instruments to give the album a not-cure, not-banshees sound. worked perfectly! like a wave of strawberry kisses that linger over a long, psychedelic night. very, very strange.

    move inside my daydream
    like fingers in a glove
twisting round and round and round
    round and round with love
