.............It'll out-sell J.K. Rowling !!!!................. My Favourite book character is: URIAH HEEP from Dickens' 'Nicolas Nickleby' . "I'm 'umble!!!!!"..........
I would have to say... Scarlett O'Hara- from Gone With the Wind Winston- from 1984 Anne Shirley- from the Anne of Green Gables books Pony Boy- from The Outsiders Westley- from The Princess Bride Owen Meany- from A Prayer for Owen Meany Dinah- The Red tent
Severus Snape from the Harry Potter series. I personally think he's the most intriguing character that I've ever read about, or maybe it's because I really took notice of him in the books after Alan Rickman's portrayal of Snape in the movies...but honestly, he's the reason I even bother to read the books anymore. Gah, and not to mention the fun I have with creating my own theories about him. He's like a rainbow, you want to follow through all the way to the end to get to the pot of gold.
Yeah, he's somewhere on my list. Others are, in no particular order: Mephistopheles (from Goethe's version of Faust) Lord Henry (from the Picture of Dorian Gray) Prince Myshkin (from The Idiot)
Molly Millions - Johnny Mnemonic, Neuromancer, others Zillah - Lost Souls Steerpike - Gormenghast Trimalchio - Satyricon (what a wonderful charicature of white trash!)
I'm with Alex and Kozmic... Radion Romanovich Raskolnikov, and maybe Razumihin from The Idiot... one of my first conversations with Syntax was about them
