Lennon because he was so bloody honest! I don't think there has been a more honest and unaffected public figure than him of late. He used to walk down the street in New York on his own and have a coffee and that sort of thing. He had no pretensions and couldn't care less about fame or money "or all that crap" as he put it.
yeh but he also brought yoko forcibly into the other beatles' lives she certainly didnt help in the let it be fiasco. secondly he brought in the lawyer allen klien who basically fucked up their money/accounts and almost destroyed apple. john also used the apple account (made up of the four's money) to finance his habits. plus he was jealous of paul. for these reasons i do not like john.
its hard to decide.... i think that Paul and John were the most inovative.. but on the other hand i like George and Ringo's personalities so much better...
john, warts n all. he was brutally honest, no sugar coated words like other lyricists use. loved all life, all people, spread a very needed message of peace
lennon cus he was very political and anarchic. harrison cus he could play great guitar. why didnt yoko marry paul? that would have made the world such a better place.
My favorite Beatle is George. I love everything about him! But, in order (from favorite to least fave) mine are George, John, Ringo, and then Paul.
"Ringo? Ringo is by no means thick." Paul "With a little luck, we can set it off, we can send it rocketing skyward. Can't you see the planet exploding? Our world." Paul Yoko would have been too esoteric, and fatalistic for Paul to connect with.
the real question here is, why would anyone marry yoko? she was prolly good at pickin up chicks for lennon is all i can figure.
George then John for me too it's a tie really, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" pushes George way over, but "here comes the sun", good lord, I can't stand that damn song when it's by the beatles. Love Richie Havens's version though.
