you're being a dumb ass. A chef doesn't bake a cake and it turns out delicious because he's lucky. An athlete doesn't win olympic gold because he's lucky. Talent is one thing, you're born with it. Skill is another. It's worked for.
oh so it is skill if a puck bounces off a goalies pad after a great save then hits a defensive-mans skate and ricochets in the goal for the final OT goal? you seem to be the dumb ass to me. and since i am the only one that matters to me you are just being the dumb ass
lucky to have been born with the skill though i like how americans argue about the most ridiculous shit
So yeah it still dont make winning a gold medal lucky if everybody going for it is born with talent. Like i said. You guys need to just quit.
Now this is dumb because first of all youre arguing. Just coz you think youre right doesnt mean youre not arguing. Youre still participatong in an argument. and yeah maybe they are lucky to be born with talent, but thats not what i said. Being born with talent is not winning them he gold medal when several other people are born with talent too. Its the effort they put in. Not luck.
most sporting events are probably 80% skill and 20% luck. give or take, depending on the sport and the specific situation.
tired of arguing over what is luck but i do find luck interesting in sports. like how much comes down to a coin toss in football, or how a player can hit a baseball solid and send it 400ft for an out, while another player can miss the ball and the catcher drops it and the batter can get to first on a strikeout. or a basketball player can make a shot that is short but the ball will bounce around the hoop 7 or 8 times before it goes in. i stand by my statement and nothing you say will change that...skill and effort gave those people the opportunity but they needed things to bounce their way for the success to happen
So men landed on the moon and returned to Earth by luck. By this logic... You flip a switch and light comes on.. luck Turn on a faucet water comes out... luck Get 100% on a test... luck Set marathon world record... luck
