What's your favorite strain? I like White Widow the best probably. All pot is good, but that's my fav.

Weed is weed man, who cares what strain it is. Just enjoy the damn plant and don't worry about specifics.

you guys act liek such assholes sometimes. the rudeness here is getting old and I'm avoiding this forum more and more.

anyway, my favorite strain is also White Widow. If it's grown well it usually has a very high THC content. I also like a really light airy strain for my smoking pleasure.

I have tried a G-13 strain! I thought it was pretty impressive as well! The only thing with it was the grower used too many nutrients and didn't flush it well before harvest so it tasted a little chemy. But it was great weed!

Buying weed that is labeled with a strain name is largely a marketing trick if you ask me. The supply of trees around here fluctuates from beasters, to bomb outdoor nugs, to bomb hybrids, and even getting up in quality to headies every now and then. But the prices are always around the same....

why do you say that? All pot is grown somewhere. And it starts from seeds, or clones that start from seeds. There are many different strains that people have created by crossing originals.

I understand that a lot of kids will take a bag of dank nuggets and say "oh this is (insert name of strain here)" when they really don't know. That is a marketing scheme to get people to pay more.

But if you talk to any grower, most likely they have chosen what strain they want to grow and continue to call it by that name. I respect people who call each kind by it's proper name because that means they know a lot about what they are smoking. I always ask what the name is. If someone doesnt' know, I don't like that. It means they obviously aren't too close with the grower.

So yes, I agree it CAN be used as a way to up prices, but most respectable growers value their pot and it's name.

ALSO... (yeah, I kow I'm going on and on) I like to know because of THC content. Some strains like... I don't know...Buddha for example, it has a wonderful smell, if grown right it will have orange reddish hairs, and tastes wonderful, but it's THC content is lower than some other strains like Sensi Star. It gets you stoned, but other strains as much as they may look alike, will get you higher. And THAT'S what's important to me!

I agree that the growers obviously know what's going on, I just don't believe in paying the prices people ask for most bags of headies.

I'm so with you there, brother. I cut kids off at the knees if they try to up the price JUST because of the strain name.

Another thing to remember (I am just a loud mouth today, aren't I?) is that even a great strain of pot can be grown really crappy.

Hell yea, and a bagseed of some lower quality buds could grow some good buds with the right grower.

I agree. People have different names for bud that is the same. You never know what you are actualy getting unless you know the dude who grew it.

not neccessarily. Most of the dealers I know aren't growers themselves, but still know what they are selling. there are decent dealers out there.

crossing original strains....yea i'm sure u have a certain idea of the exact strain then....

unless a grower has a awsome seed provider, i would say that what they are buying is not all the same, but similar seeds. Seeds come from other plants, there for unless somone was growing seeds somehow through Hyrdoponics, who knows what's in those seeds from the parent plant? even the PH balance of soil could change one seed from another, and when u have a 200 plant grow, i doubt the grower gives a shit one from the next.

ahhh...are we talking about like some pot head that grows like 6 plants to sell, or an actuall "Grower"

hahahaha how the fuck do u know the THC content?? like fuck u talk like your a scientist. How the hell do u have even a rough idea on content? by appearance? by the amount of Crystals? do u have some sort of chemical test?

i've had weed before that looks like it was dipped in water and rolled in sugar, but the most killer weed i've had in my life was not even caked that bad.

i dont care if u think u know what your getting, your still getting sucked in my gimicks, even if u think u have a good dealer, most likely the strain u are being told u have isnt correct because it's not pure.
