For years summer was my favorite season, I still love it, but I think fall is becoming my very favorite. What about everyone else?

    Autumn*

Such a beautiful time of year, and just right temperature wise. I like spring for the same reasons, but I tend to spend those months sneezing my ass off (damn hayfever)
Autumn also has all the best holidays, and is a such a peaceful time as nature winds down and we settle in ready for winter.
Also, and this may be a slight bias, I was born in October.

*I refuse to call it 'fall'. As a Brit I grew up calling it autumn, and fall just doesn't do it justice.

I love Winter, but I love fall more because it means winter is coming.

make sense? Fall is like my Friday night, not quite the weekend, but it means
    you have two days off.

I like all seasons for their own reasons, summer being my least favorite.

I grow more spiritual every fall, reflect on new thoughts in Winter, and collect myself in the Spring, summer is my off time, i find it hard to be very spiritual in the Summer.

    Favorite month is October btw.

heh I dont care what you call it i like fall so :p, lol j/k..

I grew up and still live in the deep South USA, and if you know thats like a whole different languege than other english... Ive always thought Autumn sounded really strange, but to each his own. I guess we call it Fall because the leaves fall or something.

    EDIT:
Yeah I know what you mean Heron about the way the seasons are. About the summer tho, I can be spiritual in the summer, but not really durring the day, because it gets so hot outside around here you cant think straight so you try and spend most time indoors around an air conditioner, but the nights are lovely. Winter isnt that cold here and all the snakes are gone so I spend more time in the forests in the winter than I do in the summer, so I get more spiritual as well.

I like Fall the best also. The harvest is the only sign of prosperity I need; seeing the previous two seasons hard work come to fruition. A job well done until Spring.

THose are some really beautiful pics Squawkers!!

I love the way the air feels in the fall, its a whole lot cooler than the winter, and the nights feel better, if you will notice music changes from up beat in the summer to sort of more down beat in the winter, more mellow and stuff, or at least ive noticed that..

I love cold weather so I would have to say winter is my favorite season, although last winter I was still running the air conditioner because it was so hot. But I'm also quite fond of spring because everythings so lush and green outside, I love to meditate in the woods while everythings in full bloom.

Winter is def. my time, I really can't explain why but there's just something, something so wild, beautiful and rough about it...

Nothing better than just putting on your cloth and running out in the forest in winter, everything is white you're just running, freezing, hunting.. something...

    I love winter

This season. The time of year when summer shifts to autumn is glorious in my part of the world. We don't get the hot and sticky weather that summer brings, and it's still warm enough for lots of outdoor activities. I can be outdoors and have some energy.

Spring is my favourite season. I have perennial hayfever anyway, so all the extra pollen in the air during spring makes no difference.

Definitely Autumn. I love the colors, the food-time for soup and stew!!! I can actually go hiking in the mountains (I live in SC) without getting A. sunburned B. heat exhausted C. eatten by mosquitos. We still have to keep to AC on during the day right now-90 degree days. But, at night, the temp drops to 60s. In the morning I open all the windows, shut off the air, and enjoy a nice cup of tea in the cool breeze. Mmmmm.

I said summer, which I do love, but I think the best time of year is late summer early fall. It's cooling down a bit, then the leaves change, and you get that nice, cool, sunny weather with beautiful trees. Once the leaves are down (late October around here) it's just cold and rainy. So really, I like August, September and October. But summer is great, I like being hot.

I absolutely love the winter! I need snow. I need less sunlight. I need the cold. The heat in the spring and summer make irritable and the fall is alright, but it's also just a tease. Winter is where it's at.
