Yea, but, it's over $60 a bottle. And I'm trying to parse back from being a capitalist pig. My favorite Balvenie is the 14 year old Caribbean Cask. It's a doublewood, only one is a rum cask. So, being a cheap bastard I have been experimenting with blends and varying amounts of light rum or dark rum, I mean like a teaspoon or tablespoon maybe, not a lot. I'm trying to make a poor man's Caribbean Cask clone. I think I'll have to charcoal filter the blended scotch going forward.
I understand the cost factor involved, if not for that I would buy "Pappy Van Winkle" bourbon by the case. But at $ 300-$ 400 per bottle I refrain...LOL
I would buy Basil Hayden by the case It's $50 a bottle so not ridiculous but more than i'm comfortable spending on alcohol on a regular basis But it's so damn good. The only bourbon i've had that I would describe as delicate and floral lol
Hendricks Gin. I live in a warm climate and a G&T is always refreshing. Hendricks in particular because of the lean on cucumber rather than citrus. In Calgary I often order Gin on https://zyn.ca, there are many highly-rated alcohol brands available for sale + quick delivery service. Just ordered Gin Basil Smash, it also goes down well.
