hey guys wutzup. i figured we should have a best dead show list here. so i'll start it off. everyone put 3 of your favorite shows in no particular order, and maybe you can comment on the shows above you. i also put links to their site on archive.org so you can download it. here are some of mine: 1973-05-26 Kezar Stadium it has such a great set list and plus its like 4 hours. here is the link 1977-11-06 Broome County Arena the second set is mindblowing with samson and st stephen and fotm and good lovin and not fade away and...ok i'll stop, but those are some of my favorite songs. here is the link. 1977-05-09 Buffalo Memorial Auditorium once again an samazing setlist all the way through. both sets of this show are great. the second set is out of this world though; it goes from this superb bertha and good lovin to ship of fools, estimated prophet, the other one, not fade away, and comes a time. Then they finish it off so well with an awesome sugar magnolia to uncle johns. it fucking blows my mind! '77 was such a great year! well, thats it for now, sorry if i got a little overzealous and wrote too much, i just fucking love the dead man! for everyone here who loves the dead...lets share the love, even if you feel you arent as much of a deadhead as others. keep it real. peace thamaddnote
i love the shows a filmore because all the shows they do there are great...i also like the really old stuff from the birth of the dead albums
i think its december 1, 1966.. the only recording of "Alice D Millionaire" on the internet, one of only 3 times they played it.
man, any dark star from 1969 is alright in my books but 1970-95-14 at the meramec community college is tiiight. man, i back all the early shows up until 72, new years of both 71 and 72 are awesome. then theres one of the those few 1975 shows when they rocked out at the Golden gate park, 1975-09-28. however, ill always dig those mid-60s, acid drenched recordings more than any other era's. man, there aint nothing like the dead, jeeez.
right now my favorite show is Cornel University 1977....they play the most funky "dancin in the streets" its like 15 mintues long of just tihgt, funky, jamming....oh its sick....the whole show is just powerful, every song is a "best of" version....beautiful show....
i might be wrong but i think that was oct 16-20, 1974. yea, those were great shows, when steal your face was recorded. Some good version of biodtl and ship of fools and the other one. 1973-6-10 was an awesome show 1977-05-05. dload it on archive, Its great quality. But I think my all time favorite dead show is 1971-12-10 at fox theatre, st. louis. The set list is: bertha me and my uncle mr charlie loser beat it on down the line sugaree jack straw next time you see me tennesse jed el paso big railroad blues casey jones good lovin brokedown palace playin in the band run rudolph run deal sugar mag comes a time truckin>drums>The other one>sittin on top of the world>the other one>not fade away>goin down the road >not fadeaway>one more saturdaay nite
