I'm throwing a (smallish) beach party this coming weekend (full moon ). i'm not bringing any gear of mine though. I'm keeping it real simple burning cd's for the boombox, and anyway i'm covered on all genre's with my favorite mixes. But I was wanting a really good mixed liveset of some old school-ish goa trance, just in case the time strikes right for it. I'm into Dark-Psy, and the really glitchy psychedelic stuff, the less cheesy the better. but yea if ya'll out there can point me towards a sick goa mix that would be sooo cool. actually mixed set of ANY Psy, progressive, dark, full-on everything, just rapidshare it, and i'd love to listen to it. I know there is one man on here that knows his Psy, PsyGrunge. anyway yea, just post some good goa/psytrance mixes, probably for midnight to 4am hours, or maybe some morning stuff (hoping it won't get busted)
First off, the Dark: artists I listed in your Shpongle thread are all full of precise glitches running simultaneously over deep, powerful basslines to bring the mind into the peak of neurological summation.. Only the cream of the crop for me, man. Anyway, you simply NEED to grab yourself the VA compilation "Goakick" (on Goanmantra Records - 2009).. While you're at it, hunt for the following VA comps.. Seres Music: "Don't Take It Personal" (2008) Urban Antidote Records: "Remedy" (2009) Temple Twisters Records: "Biomechanikal Twisters" (2009) Evil Knivel Records: "Full Reaction" (2009) Kabrathor Records: "Cerveau Et Petite Cuillere" (2008) Peak Records: "Epeakurean" (2008) OSOM: "Peace For The Wicked" (2006) Would love to come to your party mate but you're probably based in another corner of the World By the way I've posted tonnes of my mixes on these forums a while back. They've got a lot better these days, and i'm mixing all sorts (but mainly funky-morning/progressive with some full-on psy in the middle; and plenty of dark and deep foresty goa stuff).. Edit.. you're after mixes. I have got some proper amazing mixes by my dj/producer and event organiser friend "Psionic_Entity", but not sure how he'd feel 'bout me passing them out to be played in parties (and he's in France atm doing MessMedia, so can't really ask him either!) - Anyway, the albums posted above will run smoothly as hell if you take a laptop and play them in Media Monkey..
