Hipforumers, show us your favorite FREE Android apps! If you can, please add a link for the app on play store or other service, since there are so many apps that are similar. Share with us why you like it. Of course many apps have premium versions with more features for a price. Some are worth it, esp. if you use it a lot and only have to pay once. I'm getting pretty bored with some apps, especially the usual games. Here's a few apps I like: Radio: It has thousands of stations and comes installed on some devices and with Kodi. Also Tune-In and Calm Radio (great for meditation/yoga/chill) both have thousands of stations too. DuoLingo: Excellent language program with 30 languages available, why pay? Recent improvements have made the user experience better with more of a focus on conversation now. Windy: Great weather site showing everything from wind, temperature, various pollutants, water temps, fire intensity, volcanic activity (SO2) thermals, swells, soil moisture, and much more, all in one app for everywhere in the world! Great for tracking your local conditions or travel planning. I use it to monitor pollution levels (NO2,PM2.5,SO2,CO,Surface Ozone) among other things. So what's on your Android device? IOS users can start their own thread...
I really like Radio Garden! Tune into a lot of local radio stations from around the globe. Use the map to find a location, then zoom into your choice.
Bumping this thread, can't believe no one has a favorite APP to tell us about! I have another to share... Formerly known as 'My CookBook" is really uselful. Not only can I enter my own recipes, I can import any I find from the Internet. It formats them nicely, and I use this app several times a week. CookMate
NewPipe - It's an 'ad free' youtube player with download option. Sometimes it adds its own embedded ads though and sometimes videos don't play. NewPipe - a free YouTube client I almost don't want to say the next app's name because I feel like it will be taken down but here's a hint:
Now that is interesting! A problem this planet needs to address trying to be handled by an APP. Groovy! I love ingenuity
That one seems interesting. Worth checking out. Although I keep all of my recipes on my network drive that's mapped to my desktop and my laptop.
I love Cornell's Merlin. It helps you identify birds by their song or appearance You can manually search by describing the bird, or use image and sound (!) recognition. Finding out what birds are around you can be really fun and scratches that collecting itch!
The latest one I've been working with after learning i was low on Vitamin d (Which is weird being in arizona and all) for nutrient tracking/ diet management. Punch in what your goals are, Punch in what you eat and it tracks and totals the nutrient content, carbs, calories etc. They also have a web page that functions like the App. Cronometer: Track nutrition & count calories
I use this one a lot... XE for currency exchange rates around the globe... xe.com or on Google Play store.
I got one of those 'app' things once. but one of the legs fell off and I threw it away. Someone told me that I should have installed it on my phone, but I could not work out how to do it on my 15 year old Nokia.
Spectroid - A wireless signal analyzer Kali ROM - Put the OS that "hackers" use on your phone mixed with USBOTG to get a keyboard and monitoring and injecting wifi adapter alfa and pen test you and your friends setups! Call Of Duty Mobile - best time waster ever invented. Fast and fun Brave - the best browser avail. right now for security and to bypass those stupid cookie or sign up pages. It will also load all the pages of websites that ask you to hit next 20 times to see the whole story. Awesome.
Juicy. There are clocks that implement that stuff too. Crank broadcast deauth 2 all the lan party and watch your friends foaming from their mouths. Lol
What exactly does Kali ROM do? And why would you want to put code hackers use on your system? Brave sounds interesting.
