not your favorite year or tour, but your favorite single concert, b/c everyone knows the best dead is live...
my personal favorite is 7/17/89 at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI. They have a great jam in the second set (china cat sunflower > i know you rider > playin' in the band > uncle johns band > standing on the moon > drums > jam) and they play 'let the good times roll', 'me and my uncle', and 'GDTRFB > Not Fade Away', some of of my favorite songs

btw a great place to download concerts is www.archive.org

The entire Alpine run of 89 was sick. 7-19 often gets overlooked, but its a gem

I couldn't tell you a favorite. After the boys being my favorite band for 20 years and having listened to well over a thousand shows, I couldn't name you a definitive favorite. I could list you 30 must haves off the top of my head, but not a favorite.

Archive is fantastic. Its my candy store.

So different now a days. You can get literally any show you want after an hour download and burn process. When I started trading 17 years ago it was just going over people's houses or meeting people in the lot and seeing something you didn't have and copying it. I used to literally drive around with my double deck yamaha in my car and a ten pack of XL II's just in case I stumbled on something new. It made getting a new show VERY exciting. Not that its not now after downloading something from the net, just different. Not that I'm complaining
