    for me it's
    Sin City
    Spiderman 1 & 2
    Batman
    Batman Returns
    Batman Begins
and I guess Fantastic Four but that's not too good....

and though it isn't technically a comic book movie:
Once Upon A Time In Mexico

    yeah what's yours?

american splender isnt really based on a comic... isnt it just the life of a comic strip righter told as if it were a comic? i could be wrong, im not sure.

    ghostworld is gold.

and desperado was loads better then once upon a time in mexico.

Big fan of Hellboy -- huge even.

I wasn't that big of a fan of the Crow flicks, but I do want to check out the new one with Edward Furlong as the new Crow -- just for shits & giggles :) I think it's called Wicked Prayer or some shit like that.

Tales from the Crypt (the show) was always a guilty favorite of mine, and those where all basically old EC Comics I believe.

I liked the Spawn cartoon series, but the movie was kind of lame.

Most people think it sucked, and it very well may have, but I really enjoyed the Punisher movie.

Fantastic Four, Dare Devil, Elektra, and the Hulk all sucked a big huge sloppy dino penis.

no, he wrote, produced & directed Desperado

and he did basically everthing in EL Mariachi (writer, producer, director, editor, cinematographer, special effects)

and although I never actaully read any of Frank Millers stuff, Sin City was a really good movie

I vote for Sin City, too. It's very different to what we've seen in the movies all these years. Strangely for a comic, it hasn't got a singular hero that stands out. I think that's part of its charm, though, the way the many stories and characters interweave through the plot and ultimately arrive at the same point.

As for clangers, I was disapointed with Judge Dredd when it came out all those years ago. It could have been a good movie if Stalone had only just kept that fucking helmet on! You NEVER NEVER EVER see JD's face in the comics. That was mortal sin! Oops, there you are! Sin City again!

Yea its called Wicked Prayer, looks pretty bad, Tara Reid and the dude from angel are in it. The only thing i think about it thats good is the director Lance Mungia who did Six Stringed Samurai.

and Judge Dredd was HORRIBLE. not nearly as bad as The Crow: City Of Angels.

koopa, I think you're the first person that's said anything positive about that film, even though as I understand it's a perfectly good comic. I was in two minds about it. Would you mind listing some of the positive aspects of the movie (ie SFX, etc.). I appreciate a variety of opinion. Cheers.

visually appealing, enough religion to make it interesting but not enough to make me sick, keanu reeves character is "ultra serious" which is the only way to cast him and make the audience take "him" serious!!!!

there definately were a few scenes that sucked but overall it keeps most watchers attention. You'll probably be glad you waited for rental but I am happy to have seen it!

Ghostworld gets my vote, too. Also, Batman, Sin City and the Crow.
