As a general rule are polyunsaturated fats healthier than monounsaturated fats, is it the other way around or are neither of those true? I know that saturated fats are usually solid at room temperature and I know that they are the major culprits for arteries clogging (not sure if the former is the cause of the latter) so its obviously better to fill yourself up with mono and polyunsaturated fats but beyond that I don't know anything about the nutritional value of fats. Can anyone inform me? :hat::hat::hat::hat:
everything in moderation. In my opinion, if it's from a plant (i.e.-canola, olive, avocado, flaxseed) your fine. Whole foods are better than processed. I think that with whole foods you get an entire nutritional complex, all the different compounds acting together to give you maximum benefit. I don't have "proof" of this, just personal experience. Also, if you take a look at the cultures who live the longest, healthiest lives, they eat what's out of the ground/sea/ect. around them and not kraft krap. Again, everything in moderation is key.
