Or atleast that's my brothers opinion. Today I was lazily using my computer, chilling out and eating afew crackers. I'm enjoying my down time until I start college on Monday, knowing well that i'll be doing assignments and at school the majority of the time. So my brother calls to me from the kitchen, is your goal to be obese? I said...what? He was referring to the picture I drew on the fridge. Now I don't know if any of you are aware of the site illwillpress, there is a cartoon called neurotically yours where the main character germaine transitions throughout her life. At the beginning she was very skinny, and now she is quite large. She has maintained this sort unique, angsty, i'm beautiful the way I'am attitude and I found that beautiful. So I drew her (I draw) and stuck her on the fridge with some of my other artwork for my friends to see when they come over. The picture was her sitting on this couch with foamy in the background and her reading a book called condifence for the xxxl My brother said you have never been nor will you probably ever be an xxxl. (Well who the fuck knows) he went on to say that he hates that sort of thing. Where women try to 'love themselves' when they're fat. And don't do anything to change it. That even the average person who doesn't do anything to be in their best physical shape is a strain on society. When I said there's nothing wrong with being fat and loving yourself so long as you're healthy he said why do you even argue with me it's medical fact. There really is no arguing with him because he feels he's right either way. However Id like to say. I do believe that someone who is overweight and loves themself and doesnt strive to look like...paris hilton, or some other celebnty is a rarity and something beautiful. It's alot harder to be someone who isn't ideal in a society that pressure men and women to look a certain way. And those that are perfectly happy with their bodies despite the fact that they aren't "the best they can be" are the kind of people that I look up to. I suffered from an eating disorder, I remember working out from 30 minute to an hour everyday plus situps and only eating 330 calories at most. Watching my weight fly off, and fainting infront of a bus stop. So having a little pudge is much better than starving yourself and working yourself..for what....??? I'm sorry but if you're healthy and you like the way you look that's good enough. Ask yourself, "am I happy with myself" and if you are that's good enough for me. What are your thoughts?
why did he stop there. gay people are just asking for aids.. Let them pay their own health care too.. with that being said. its really not true that Obese people use the health care system more. If you really took a trip to the hospital. youre gonna see, not to many fat people. maybe some unhealthy bigger people. But certainly not fat. fat people cant get around, Therefore less trips to the doctors office. This is why fat people need home visits and are to embarrassed to get such, cause they are fat... 1/2 my post is nonsencesess figure out what 1/2..
Your brother is a dick....i wish i sold him weed cause i would short him and give it to one of my big friends
I'll quote fight club: On the one hand "I felt sorry for guys packed into gym. trying to look like how Calvin Klein or Tommy Hilfiger said they should. Is that what a man looks like?" So wrapping up your self esteem in your appearance is a worthless pursuit. On the other: "You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. " So if beauty is more than skin deep, than it's also not something that's is either easily quantified or is possessed simply by state of being. You aren't beautiful just by being unique. There are more important things than being beautiful anyway.
Is Germaine the girl in your siggy? I'd love to spend the night with someone like her. Now, let me go work out...
Thats stupid. And why cant women love themselves even if they are big? Not everyone can be a freaking super model in a magazine. I know Im for sure not and I try very hard to love myself and accept me for who I am. Now dont get me wrong I have, and am, working hard to lose weight cause I am on my way to the military. Lol. But that doesnt mean anything. And just cause your 'fat', doesnt mean you go to the doctor more, my dad has always been a big guy, and rarely goes to the doctor unless he feels like he is going to die. Not cause he is scared to go cause he is big, just because he rarely gets sick.
Ya she is, she's spunky. But, she's gained weight in the series. www.illwillpress.com <- click toons.
denied health care...if they can afford it, they can get it. now health insurance...certainly teh fatties should have higher costs for insurance...just like a driver with too many tickets will pay more
My guess is probably old enough to have suckled the teat of the healthcare system for quite a few years...but not old enough to have ever paid a dime of taxes into it. :eggnog:
she's Canadian...we have universal healthcare here...and as a bonus if you're a lazy ass welfare collecting bum you get all your prescriptions free too
you should see the size of the guy who runs the foodbank in this city...and I aint kidding...this guy has no discernible neck..I would estimate him at 400lbs
I like our health care system. I had an ambulance called for me at one point and I went to the hospital for some tests but didn't have money to pay for it. So they basically just said I didn't have to pay it.
