Nah, they'll always be my favourite band. Ever since I was 9 they've been my favourite.

They inspired me to play guitar and drums, no other band did that. Sure maybe I'll listen to other bands more when I'm older. But Metallica will always be #1 just for that reason alone.

$1000 says that Metallica won't be your favorite band by the time you're 21. This includes listening to other bands more, wearing less Metallica t-shirts, and laughing at the face of a 16 year old you.

The fact that Metallica made you (and probably millions of other teenagers) want to learn to play the guitar doesn't mean that they will be your favorite band forever... that is, unless you develop a mental retardation and your musical taste doesn't develop.

They are my favourite because they made me want to play guitar. I don't care about the other people...... I dont care about people any other time, why would I care if my favourite band made them play guitar?

Them making me want to play guitar is a better gift than any album/shirt/concert any band could ever give.

My dads favourite band was the Rolling Stones when he was even younger than me and his favourite band is still..... You guessed it, the Rolling Stones. And he isn't mentally retarded or anything lol, he could out solo Kirk Hammett anyday haha.
