What is this "idealogical ignorance" you're talking about now? Moore himself supports filesharing (listen to the clip), so what's the big fucking deal? I guess just because you say 'Hitler,' now we're all supposed to run and hide because filesharing is teh evil?

So let's see, you would support taxing the rich musicians/directors for up to 50% of their income (most of them being multimillionaires in the top 5% income bracket), but you'll be dammed if the computer-savy minority can get their hands on some free copies that barely makes a dent in their slaes? Sounds pretty hypocritical to me.

If you have feelings of guilt over your beliefs then deal with them, my comments referred to the site you linked to. Those types would be the first to condemn filesharing and yet gleefully apply double standards with respect to Moore.

As for my take on filesharing I did not condemn either. I merely point out the double standard employed by these m Moore critics who have been shown repeatedly to attack him not on claims he has not in fact made (as with the bowling for truth site).

 

I rent most movies but I am glad I went out to the theater to see this one. I don't know about you, but when I went out to the theater it was packed and everyone clapped when the movie ended. It was the most in depth, uncensored journalism I have seen in a very long time. God Bless Michael Moore.

If you think this is the unbiased truth, then you are missing the point. Micheal moore publicly states that his films are about his opinions that he backs with facts (to all those idiots out there combing through them finding places where his juxtaposition equates to propaganda). It isn't journalism, it is more of an editorial.
Oh, and that download totally sucks ass it would only go at about 1 kbs at best.

 

Editorial is definitely closer to what Moore actually does than Journalism.

Well, i should add that just because it is an editorial doesn't mean that it has not value, I just saw it and I think that he does indeed present a pretty good picture of Bush, the links to the saudis seemed a little too tenious though, and he spent way too much time on them.
Back to my origional point though, sometimes the best journalism is in the editorial (or funny) pages.

Micahel Moore is a selfish pig and a disgrace to America. Not only do I refuse to let that ass hole have any of my money, I refuse to watch anything made by that piece of shit. He has stuff in that movie about the prisoner abuse that he filmed back in November. What a selfish jerk, if the man really gave two shits about America he would have exposed the abuse scandal WHEN IT HAPPENED BACK IN NOVEMBER, but no he waited till he could put it in a movie and make MILLIONS off of it. What a jerk. What a pig. He should be sent to the worst country on the planet, France.

 

I've received a few PMs regarding how to view the Farenheit 9/11 torrent, and I don't want anyone to think I'm being an ass by not responding, so I'll post it here. I've been in New Jersey on vacation for a few days (hence my absence from the forums) and didn't get the chance to watch the movie for myself at home on my desktop, but read This FAQ which should have the answers. If not, I'll be back home by Tuesday or Wednesday and I'll post instructions myself. I can't say for sure how to play the movie myself since I don't know the specifics of the file, and my torrent experience is limited to box torrents (the anime files) which are a bit different. Hope that helps, I won't be around for a few more days. Peace.

F911 is something "pot" files. There is CD1 and CD2 and each one is filed with lots of zipped files.

It wasn't the photos about the prisioners that are now infamous, and i wonder how you found out about it if you didn't watch the movie. Anywhos it was abunch of soldiers acting like jerks, having their picture taken while people put bags over their heads, no torture, can't remeber if there was any hitting, but it was 'accepted techniques authorized by the us army' not the abuse scandal.

its obvious you havent even seen the movie, you only heard what is in it by your precious pill-popping, donut-eating, rush limbaugh, huh? They dont show any prisoner torture in the movie. The only thing that was close was the soldiers making fun of this guy who touched a dead man's erect penis. ALso, I heard a bunch of conservatives complaining about inaccuracies in the film. One of those being that he said no congressmen had a son or daughter in the military, when he did actually say that there was only one congressman with an active serving son in the armed forces. Also, for your information, it was hard for him to get the film even released with so many people protesting the film, he couldnt even get a proper company to help release it into the theatres.


Like I said, nothing about the prisoner abuse from last november was shown in the film, please watch the film before you make your stupid innaccuracies about it, ok?

mmmmkay, here ya go: click the http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm and choose to download the 3.40 beta 2 (it's the first one on the list). From there, install it as you would any program. Start the program and open CD1 or CD2 from the 'file' drop-down menu. From there, extract and you should have your movie.
