  1. Fantasia, such a classic, you know you want to see it now that I mention it.

Walt Disney at his finest. He did know what was up. This film supposedly emmulates the mescaline experience.

Fantasia is an awesome movie, very relaxing and the visuals are great. Fantastic II leaves little to be desired though. I have both, and I really don't care for the second one, neither do my kids.

I thought you said it emulated the 'masculine' experience. Hahaha...

I totally agree. Fantasia is an awesome movie. Saw it as a kid, changed my life. There's nothing that can develop the brain of a child like music. Nothing. Fantasia opened the love of music in me... nothing can do it like Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain". There's something about music that brings out the child in an adult. Love it.

I have it on tape , haven't seen it in a long time but now I might just go find it and watch it! Probably gonna have to pry it from one of my little sisters though.

All I can remember of fantasia is watching it with my little brother when we were both quite young and him being absolutely terrified of it. Really should give it another go!

Great film. I liked the sequel too, I know a lot of people don't. I think it's the slight irritation of thier "recycling" of a segment from the original. That was cheap.

Loved it as a kid... got it for christmas one year... or, should i say, before christmas. My mum was out and my dad gave it to me and my sis to keep us quiet, as long as we didn't tell her. She still doesn't know. ;p

I used to watch that movie all the time when I was younger! I absolutely love that movie. Aww.. I can't believe I forgot about it. I think that really opened my mind a lot as a kid. I'm kinda glad I watched stuff like that.[IMG]

I love it too, and Fantasia 2000 as well, I don't really see any reason not to at least like it a little bit! I like the Firebird sequence better than the Bald Mountain sequence, I think...

The only issue I had with the original Fantasia was the dinosaur sequence. I hated it as a kid, and am not really fond of it today. But Fantasia is still my favorite Disney movie. :)

In gradeschool I used to get made fun of for being the only second-grader who liked Fantasia. Now I know that half my classmates from back then must have smoked a bowl and watched Fantasia at LEAST once (lots of stoners from my gradeschool)--and I feel slightly cooler for liking that movie first, with or without weed.

Many people think that this movie on psychedelics would rule, but my experiences with it are very soberring. Shrooms and Fantasia were a great combo until the part with those dinosaurs and brooms were on; nothing particular, but the movie skeeved me out while i was tripping. I also tried a second time with CCCs and turned it off when Mickey was controlling the water. I still enjoy the movie immensely though.

I was scared of the dinosaur part, and the part at the end with the black winged, yellow-eyed creature...

there was only this one part of the movie that i was terrified of.
it's the part where they're showing space and the creation of our earth.
it was the music that was associated at the very beginning of this scene.
it was quite eerie and being three, yeah i gre a fear of it, lol.

now i love it and i still have that habitual problem of wanting to hide behind the couch everytime i hear that music, lol.
