So I wanted to get a salad today to go with my meal, just a small one. I go over to Sbarro and look on their board. There is a huge picture of a nice crisp salad: lettuce, tomato, and I think some croutons. I can't expect the vegan-style salad that I make at home, and I just wanted this little one. I know most salads do not live up to the pictues, but I was ok. Just give me some lettuce, tomato, and oil/vinegar.... I look at the bar and they have: a big casserole dish of romain lettuce drenched in Caesar or Ranch, covered with cheese and croutons. No fresh letuce or tomato in sight. And I bet it had been sitting there since the early morning. I think it is misleading and wrong to have a huge sign with a dressingless salad and then have this bad excuse for a salad as the *only* option. It isn't the employees who are at fault. I would like to complain but don't want to be the mall bitch. Just disappointing.
Yeah I realized today theres a lot of unvegan food at the mall, which reminded me of why I never go in the first place.
Complain, damn it. Only reason companies can pull this kind of crap is because people are too nice and stay quiet. A personal boycott works too I guess, less confrontational. Not always practical though.
Well I wouldn't eat anything else frm there anyway so a personal boycott would be ineffictive. I work for a business that has the mall as one of its locations. I usually bring lunch or go to the Lebanese cafe place for some rice pilaf.
