Well got my wake up call today when i found out what my grades were from college. Turns out i failed one class and got a D in another. Man i wish it was like highschool, that was way to easy.
so do you think hs did not prepare you properly for college life or you yourself just ? aint prepared for it
i had to withdraw from 2 of my classes, and got C's in the other 2... I'm not going back next semester. 1st/2nd year college is easy as shit if you show up everyday.
i really slacked off and expected it to be like highschool. Didnt study enough, had trouble writing papers for one class and just gave up on it. Next quarter i need to buckle down and not waste my parents money.
no they cant tell the parents anything, but i told my dad today and he wasnt too upset, but then again you cant really tell that well from an email.
I was always told the opposite. That first year is the hardest cause there trying to ween students out before they waste all there money. Teachers, second year, and third year students all told me this. I guess it depends on the University.
what good would it really do dad to be upset,,, its done its over,,, he knows what he could say, but is it worth it in the end,,, you what the issues are n were tis now up to yo to make it better,,, buckle down young man
i think i may have failed my math course... idk yet for sure tho still waiting for my grades. and HS did not prepare me at all for college.
i think you mighta had an idea what was going to happen if instead of studying for the test you had the next morning you went out with your friends and got high lol, now ur like oh shit 6months i didnt do anything and i failed a class zomg how
awwww that sucks. university is hard work... or so they say. i wouldn't know. hopefully you'll do better next semester!
i don't buy it. they won't try to keep you from wasting your money. they want you to spend as much money as possible, because they are a business, not some charity that is out there for your benefit. they don't need to make it hard to weed out the idiots anyway. a majority of students don't make it to the second year just because they don't go to class. i made it through, and it was ridiculously easy all four years, but the first year was by far the easiest. the only thing that got easier as i went along was that it was easier to schedule classes at more convenient times, which is important because attendance is basically all it takes to get good grades in college. but yeah, it probably does depend some on the university
My last college math class had no homework assignments. Fuck yeah. I got an A on every test and quiz.
I got a D in math and I was doing bad in french so I skipped a test and went to drop the class but it was too late so I failed it, I just never showed up again because I couldnt get my grade up. I hate college.
i was going to gibbs college but it was a truly shitty school, no hands-on, just some guy reading powerpoint slides and im like "y'know i can read slides at home" then my last semester that i attended, in one of my classes the instructor just read word for word the chapter, that was the class, after a week i was like "fuck this" and dropped out, now i have to pay off my loans and then i can attend a worthwhile school in a field that isnt computers, just cuz i hate computers now
yea.. same shit here.. if hs would have been based on tests i would have left a 4.0.. but no.. i fuckin hated homework and end up with a 2.0..
