It's a pain in the ass at times, but I see nothing wrong with Facebook. Sure, it's a huge thing now. But there's really nothing wrong (YET) that I can see...
facebook is a way to stay in communication with the people you go to highschool and college with, i think its useful, you dont ever want to lose a friend just because they leave to a different state, i think its nice to have a communication site dedicated to keeping in touch, sure it has cheesy little applications you can add but you dont need to.
^ true story. myspace is ok but not as good as facebook, and bebo... well, bebo is full of 10 year olds who dress as chavs in their photos which i am obviously not a fan of. i like facebook.
they have all sorts've little applications and add ons that you have to pay for and dumbasses end up getting them and wasting money they even had something on the news about kids doing it with their parents' credit cards and stuff though to be fair myspace does have a lot of sponsors that just try to rip people off
Well, yeah, definitely.. if in fact you are a target for the government, they can definately use it against you. That being said, you definitely don't want to use Myspace or Facebook to brag about your herb growing skills. In fact, you might not want to use this site to brag about drugs either.. or any other website for that matter. Another growing problem is that potential employers check out your accounts on these websites. Your comments explaining how you were trashed wont help you land a job and employers are definitely checking out these sites to see how professional their future employees are outside of the work environment. You've got to realize that so many people can see your personal thoughts. If it doesn't bother you, then it's all good. But do be careful. I stay out of Myspace and Facebook.. at least for the time being. They just aren't necessary to me right now, and it seems like it wouldn't be much fun having to moniter what I say in front of the world.. I mean, I personally respect my privacy immensely. To sum up my relentless rambling, I don't see anything too horrible about these websites if you're careful about what you post.
Yeah, it's better than myspace by lightyears. I may enjoy myspace to a point, but there are two things about it that drive me nuts. #1. I'm a web developer/programmer in training, and I really hate websites that don't follow semantics... Checking layouts on myspace... It's like putting a vase on top of a bomb, blowing it up, and trying to find all the pieces of the vase. It's not fun. #2. Myspace is sucking up to the public, and trying to "catch up" to Facebook in terms of features and quality. They're catching up feature-wise, but they'll never be so good as facebook in code quality.
Wouldn't you want to use facebook to get your message out. This is a wonderful platform for marketing, and if you hate it so bad, ironically that would be the place to start if you really want to shut it down. And if you are really trying to get people to get off, you will have to make other options availible to them. Cally Natural Toothpaste
