Facebook Wtf?!

Ok. So I go on Facebook for the first time in maybe a week (since I got involved wit hf and made real friends) and the first thing that hits me? DRAMA!
My daughters baby daddy drama, such and such cheating on him and stuff..someone beat themselves up and claimed getting jumped for attention ......
I have had it folks...
Ever since I rediscovered hf I have surrounded myself with fun intelligent people. Im sure there is drama on this forum but its not right in MY face.

That being said..thank you to my friends on here and to potential new ones for being the cool, funny, crazy, freaky people that you are

Farcebook is one of those scary sections of the internet... You should have multiple layers of protection. (so many layers that the page won't load)

 

My freak flag is always waving. I get rid of those people on Facebook. I dont have time for that kind of drama. I even got rid of my own step sister on there because of her drama. Nobody is safe from being unfriended by me. Haha. I'm happy to have met you deacon and glad to be called one of your new friends.

 

My daughter right out the gate nananananananana..im like slow down babygurl!!Then all the other stuff...sheesh. I guess I've been in a bubble here. Im glad that my friends and I keep it fun and a little crazy on here.
Facebook has ruined two of my friends (separate instances) marriages and working on a third.sigh

I dont really get how facebook ruins relationships. All that drama is happening in real life, but people are immature and decide to air their dirty laundry on social media. It doesn't mean the laundry wasn't dirty before it was ever aired.

I just feel like people take facebook too seriously

 

YOURE 1000% RIGHT.
It was dirty OFF the internet....but this gives people the opportunity to air it for EVERYONE, and stir up all kinds of drama.
People (women mostly) post every little detail and feeling they're having on their wall....while most of us men just post pics of our cars LOL

 

I never post any dirty laundry on fb. That's not the place for it. Fix your problems at home. The more people who get involved the more troubles you have. I stick to things that will make others happy or laugh. I've had may people tell me they love reading what I say because its a little break from the drama everyone else posts and that I'm so positive. I don't post all the time but I hope when I do that it makes someone smile.

 

PLEASE, LIKE MY omg...Oh my goodness. Let it settle in before I realize all the many problems face and social media has created. My undertone probably isn't as loud as my page is expected to become given the many friends I have. I just thought I'd get more out of Facebook's use than every previous attempt of not having some service interruption create social medias exclamation of a public service address toward technology and every new entrepreneurs idea of reestablishing the lines of a concrete system. Reminds me dating shouldn't be so difficult if its called dating.

 

And oh yeah picture scavengers... I do think there enough beautiful pictures to determine the idea of a photograph, but not enough beyond distortion

 

I'm kind of the same with actual posting of stuff on FB, keeping it light.

There were recently some bushfires here and from what I saw FB was really helpful as in people offering places to stay or space for livestock.

Nothing's ever all bad.

Yes. fb isnt all bad. I had a friend who got reunited with a daughter she gave up for adoption as a teenager through fb and now they have a great relationship. It's not all bad. It's only as bad as you make it.

 

Don't get me wrong..Facebook has its ups and its downs. It seems every other post is useless tripe and drama bullshit. HOWEVER. There ARE people who keep it positive and there are also people who post inspirational things. Those I can deal with.

On a positive side of Facebook ..a very personal side..very briefly ..
I was adopted at 3 days old and have been looking for my biological mother for years..in 2010 I was talking to someone who has database access through a medical emt service and a few days later said " I think I'm looking at a picture of y9ur biological mom on Facebook "
Turns out she was right and I met my family.

So with that being said, its sad to see it has degenerated into drama and bullshit memes about cats that hate you and stalker overprotective girlfriends.

You know what? I'll stick here with the freaks, the smarties, and anyone else who'll fly my way...don't get me wrong, I know there's drama here too but I have to look for it (which I don't)...it doesn't just jump out and hit me in the face.....book

It is what you make of it. I refuse to friend people on there that I don't like. I did have a big run in with someone that I'm friends with (the run in was not on FB!) but to remove them would actually be causing drama. Facebook does have this good feature though where you can just Unsee what that person posts.

 

Trust me, I know the "hide" feature very very well.

there's plenty of drama here, glad it hasn't hit ya in the face yet like I let it do me. Actually I ran face first into it. I was young and naive. Now I remember how much I hate it
