Ok, I have situated the light system, 600w mh/hps with cooltube. The chamber will be enclosed 3'x4'x7',, what would be the best way to vent and keep cool? Any ideas would be helpful?
4 that tiny room? maybe, but good air circulation is good if you live in a hot climate also, I live in the north had basement temp go into 100+degrees at top, so def, if you can efford to assemble it do it...
smaller model of fan. make you own exaust fan. Get a Desk fan and modify it with some duct work, using duct tape and some heavy plastic sheeting.. If you got to think like gheto, find a abandond house and get a furnace fan. While your at it get some lamp fixtures and modify them for CFL's. basment are full of old lamp sockets strip em out and put them on ply wood.. save money/ Build shit for free. See someone tearing down a house? Go help em for a hour and ask em if you can have this and that..they will let you take it since it save them space.. Give some get some...
If you can afford to do it right, do it. http://cheaphydroponics.com/Merchant2/cfmcalc.htm Should help. Also Maniac has a great grow cab setup with proper venting. Check his thread "Satori Grow" or shoot a pm at him if the specs aren't there.
since wer on the subject of venting, if you have a force co2 injection. how long should you let rooms fill with c02 before venting. since I dont know much on this Bill, Ive used tanked c02 and misquito traps for inventions?. dry Ice, ect. yet Im failing in this area. I cant realy undrstand the it process. and when should co2 be injected or even used at all.
I never used it myself. I would imagine that with timers the extraction fans are timed off with the co2 injection coming on with circulating fans ensuring proper movement (during lights on). Greenthumbs has a thread on the "CO2 Boost Bucket" we should head over there to see what the mfg specs and recommendations are. Basically, the idea of the co2 is optimization. With optimized lighting 1000w+, a proper hydro nutrient feeding (I say hydroponics as IMO it is the only method of accurately maximizing and controlling the EC/TDS levels being fed) the limiting factor is plant air (co2). My opinion on the matter is that it isn't needed depending on your goal. If you are commercially orientated then you do want as much weight and return as possible whereas the hobby grower usually can produce a years worth in one harvest of 4-5 plants. But like most people, who like to tinker, you do want to have the best results as possible.
But like most people, who like to tinker, you do want to have the best results as possible. not people like you and I. lol... Yeah I couldnt see results and I do keep records might not be perfectly kept, but like with everything else, whats jotting down a few in a journal to keep your best conditons on record. while I like the computer its not a text book. While I like the stuff on the net, Truely you need a book, and a highlighter. I have a few old Ask Eds books. looks like rainbows, and so do some of my journals. but sometimes like you said tinker. if you can do it, do it. Afford it buy it. Dont fuck around.... seriously bill Im not telling you this and you know it. Ive meet people growing for years that are running up $100+ electric bills for some home grown swag.. WTF are you wasting energy for your not getting high. your wasting energy, fucking over the good green earth by consuming power and you are not producing noting but some funk a dunk leaffy swag. costing more money on the energy bill than your making in return... when this shit is not hard at all.. Patients.. is all you need..
I hear you my ole Grower's Guides are yellowed with pages falling out. I prefer books to the net for reading. Commercial herb is like that though. They are not going to invest 13 weeks on a proper sativa when they can crank out a lesser hybrid in 8-9. Overfertilized and underflushed, 9 times outta 10 harvested early. and I have always said patience is the first step to being a good gardener!
yeah I thought so, ever think its possable? heck its a fruit right..never seen nothing related I figured it wasnt worth look into any futher, but it did come to mind.
Eeeeee.... To be honest I am not sure if the effort would be worth it as we are more after the resin glands ripening vs the bracts themselves unless there was a relative aging between the two. For example, ripening the vegetative material faster accelerates the trichome aging as well (assuming they would reach the full capitated state).
weird put the topic in the engine and it came up with put a bananna in the paper bag with the weed while curing to make ethylene? While I see the Mj is producing it during its ripen adding more? end of the topic in another forum..well that soved that mystery scooby...lol...
