I've read and heard of people taking psilocybin in a gel capsule. This would be something I would want for sure. The only thing that prevents me from going on another trip is that the last 2 of the 3 times I've done mushrooms I get terrible gut-rot for at least an hour and of course that hour seems like 5. As far as I know it is the actual fungus that causes the gutrot. I've been told to eat a lot when I take the mushrooms and the rest of the food will mask the fungus. I've always wondered about making a tea but I'm worried about wasting my mushrooms, plus I don't know how. Mushrooms are a beautiful thing, I just don't know if I can handle the gutrot anymore. I'm also thinking of moving on to acid.
"I've read and heard of people taking psilocybin in a gel capsule. This would be something I would want for sure." Hmmm, well, your always gonna feel a little queezy after ingesting mushrooms. I don't think its all that bad, if you chug some OJ or some Lemon Juice after you eat your mushies the taste will simply vanish. Also I find if you just sit and try to focus on feeling your stomach you can realize that negative energy so you feel better. Try it, I don't know anything about Psilocybn in a pill but, if you wanna trip without any disgusting taste....go get some acid.
It's not the taste that bothers me it's the sickness I feel. I've thought about acid but we don't have any in our town but I'm moving to Edmonton so I'm assuming if I want some I can get some. But I'm scared to take that first plunge...
I have never heard of extracting of shrooms... You could crush the shrooms and put them into large gel tabs, but then you would have the same problem because of the poison in the mushrooms themselves. You could look into 4-Acetoxy-DMT which is a synthetic drug that is metabolized into psilocin. It is essentially the exact same thing without any downsides from the poison in the shrooms.
This technique describes how to extract psilocybin from magic mushrooms with pure 200 proof ethyl alcohol and make a magic mushroom liqueur of concentrated psilocybin to effect a powerful psychedelic dose as potent as desired. The entire process involves only the shrooms and alcohol. The alcohol is untainted with chemicals and poisons because it can be easily acquired from a liquor store (United States) either over the counter (in some states) or with a special permit (most states- see end of article section - "procuring 200 proof ethyl alcohol from a liquor store"). Acquire quality psilocybe cubensis shrooms (harvested before or just as the veils open and cool dried with desiccant). The more shrooms used in the beginning, the more potent the concentration can be when finished. Use at least several grams of dried shroom material to make the process worthwhile and effective. The shrooms need to be thoroughly dry (rock hard) to allow pulverization. To pulverize the shrooms, put them into a small strong zip lock plastic bag (freezer bag), cover the bag with a magazine (for protection of the bag) and pound it with the rubber heel of a large shoe. After pulverization, pour the shroom material into a bottle that has a tight fitting leak proof cap. Add enough alcohol to cover the shroom material to make a loose slurry. Shake the bottle well and let it sit for 24 hours. Shake it now and then to activate the extraction. After 24 hours of soaking, filter off the alcohol.Inexpensive dust-pollen masks make excellent filters for the slurry. These are available at hardware, drug and paint stores. They are usually white or tan colored, fit over the nose and mouth and are held on to the face by a rubber band attached to the filter. Fashion the filter over the mouth of a drinking glass. Shake up the bottle of slurry, and pour some slurry into the filter. Squeeze the filter and slurry to extract the alcohol. There are many details to deal with, but doing it once reveals the mall. Experience is the best teacher. Store the extracted alcohol in a fresh bottle. Retrieve the shroom material from the filters and resoak the extracted shroom material with fresh alcohol and repeat steps 1 and 2 (secondary filtration and reclamation). Combine the alcohol extracts into a glass. Place a small electric fan (small desk clip on fans are perfect) near the glass and point the air flow directly down into the glass until the surface of the alcohol ripples. This will speed the evaporation and concentration. The process will take several hours. The more alcohol extract - the longer the evaporationtime. As the alcohol evaporates and the level recedes down into the glass, wash the residue that adheres to the inside ofthe glass back into the solution. Any fumes that are generated will be harmless because the alcohol is a non poisonous drinkable spirit. Keep flames away from the solution - pure alcohol is very flammable. Evaporate the extract down to the concentration desired. 1 to3 or more grams of dried shroom material to 1cc of alcohol is a potent brew. The more concentrated it becomes, the less alcohol needs to be consumed. When taking a dose, the alcohol can be evaporated and the shroom extract taken. Dispense the psilo-liqueur with a syringe for accuracy. Accuracy is important, because a slight over calculation could put a slightly reluctant psychonaut on pluto when only the moon was targeted. The concentrated shroom liqueur will have a pungent mushroomy aroma (like fungi perfume). Store it in small screw cap bottles or vials in the freezer. Alcohol doesn't freeze solid and will remain liquid. First, call a well stocked liquor store and ask if they have200 proof anhydrous ethyl alcohol. Full service liquor stores supply hospitals and laboratories with 200 proof anhydrous ethyl (100ure ethyl alcohol - no water) in the United States. 200 proof is preferred because it has no water. 190proof (95thyl - 5ater) is ok but 5esidual water is a negative, especially when evaporated down. If the stored doesn't have 200 proof, the salespeople will know where to get it. If a permit is needed, call the state liquor board (usually in the State Capital) and ask for an application to get an ethyl alcohol permit. The fee is 5 or 10 dollars. On the application will be a question asking what the use of the alcohol will be.Write what they more or less want to hear. State that the use of the alcohol will be for "non-toxic surface sterilizing plus herb extraction - preservation - tincture - and perfume making" (or something to that effect). The poison warnings on the alcohol bottles and this idiotic red tape are just bureaucratic nonsense that results in the state making a big fat bundle off of the sale. shrooms 200 proof ethyl alcohol drinking glass (spoon - knife ect.) funnel bottles with tight caps (whiskey bottles - pop bottles -ect.) dust-pollen masks small desk fan 10cc syringe (measurement and dispensing)
What poison? There's not poison in P. cubensis and the like. There are reports of extractions with methanol, ethanol, isopropyl etc. alcohols w/ varying success. The crystals are said to be rather unstable and probably ought to be stored in solution (such as ethanol). Nausea is a common side effect of psilocybin/psilocin, though. What are you talking about with this 'poison' stuff?
Not like poisonous to kill you, I always call it poison with peeps I know around me just cause it makes my body feel like shit. I always get a huge body load and nausea from the shrooms. Sorry for all the confusions. And like I said I never heard of extraction before, so I didn't know about that.
4-ho-dmt and its phosphate ester are far from poison. There is a very easy extraction tek but it requires a special piece of equipment that I am not going to mention. Read up on the history of the discovery and modern use of magic mushrooms and what the original doses of psilocybin was. then figure out how much dried shrooms you would need to eat to get that amount of psilocybin. As for the gut rot, try making tea. It always works for swim. Take your dose put it in a mug. Boil water, and when the kettle starts to whistle move to the side burner till whistle stops. Add water to mug and cover so no steam escapes. let it sit till drinkable temp. then remove mushies after squeezing out the last but of water. Drink.
Fungi perfume indeed. It's like when a girl walks into the club reeking of skunk. Damn sexy. The allure of your ethanol extraction tek is that it doesn't involve anything poisonous, like methanol, which is scary to people who don't understand that once it evaporates, it's gone and you're safe. Methanol frightens me. Ethanol is my master, in its many diluted incarnations, but that's a different story. The thing is, apparently, methanol can be more effective, and if you start with pure methanol (wouldn't know where to find it), once it evaporates, you have more pure crystals, and you can just dissolve those into ethanol for storage and dosing. What are your thoughts on using things like everclear or Bacardi 151, though?
No worries, I'm drinking some poison tonight (cheap wine) but hey, we're all here for dialogue and knowlege. I've got much to learn, I know.
thats cause its tacky.. but if its not flammable its edible.. Ive worried once or twice in days of old..
because its watery. I had good results from eveerclear.. Now we used moonshine many times samething just easier to get.. Our state stopped selling everclear, they may have it now but I havent done a extracton in years, teas or plain old eats.. maybe this will make me want to. fall is coming on fast..
So you think it's safe to consume a sticky methanol extraction, and have had success with this method? It seems like there would be carcinogens or something in there, and you'd be much better off making it dry, ideally crystallized, then mixing into an ethanol solution for storage/dosage. I've heard of mixed results with sticky ethanol and strange crystals/sticky stuff separations causing confusion about which part to consume. I'm learning, thanks! Also, I dig the squirrels, do you have a banjo squirrel?
What, a vacuum filter? That's not that special. Hell, they're not even that terribly expensive. The basic process (from this book) is to dry them, powder them, cove... filter. It's not as effiecent, but it works.
As has been said here already psilocybe mushrooms are not poisonous, they have no poison in them. Just b/c something causes some minor side-effects doesn't make it a poison. That is a good way to spread misinformation and could scare people off that would have loved fungus.
Haha well if people actually read the second post I put they would realize that I didn't mean it like that. Just my little talk for it.
