Extracting Ephedrine From Ephedra Plant

    Hi guys,
    can anyone suggest a simple way for extracting ephedrine from ephedra plant?
    and if it contains using ethyl ether, can i use another solvent?maybe an available one?
    Every suggestion will be appreciated.
