A few years ago I heard about lucid dreaming, and I decided I wanted to accomplish it. For those of us who don't know what lucid dreaming is, it is when you realize you're dreaming, and take control of the dream. Anyways, I got into it, and I had my first lucid dream in a couple of weeks. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The first thing I did, naturally, was fly around. Since then, I've gotten more intense, and can now create and destroy things, change my environment, and even talk to people with distinct personalities that I've imagined for them. I've talked to MLK, Jesus, Ken Kesey, and everyone in between. Obviously, their personalities are what I would imagine, and they only respond to my comments/questions in the way I would expect, but it's still pretty sweet. Anyways, I would recommend lucid for anyone, it's an incredible experience and it doesn't take much practice.
I wish I could do that. Most of my dreams are scary or just sad. So, I just consider myself lucky when I don't have a dream.
i'm trying to learn. there's so much literature out there, not sure where to begin. i record my dreams, try to concentrate on staying lucid before i go to sleep, but i usually just pass out.
