I do forty minutes intense workout every morning, and generate as you can imagine quite a lot of sweat. I take a shower after anyway, so would it be a good or a bad idea to wash my hair as well (with soap) every day? I know how often you wash your hair depends on what you're up to that factors into how dirty it gets.. in this case, should I be washing my hair every day.. and would this help or hurt the locking process?

you should be fine as long as it's drying completely every time

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Don't wash your hair every time you exercise, otherwise you'll train your hair to produce more oil. Whenever I exercise, I just allow myself to dry and cool down afterwards and wash my dreads about once a week or whenever I feel they're getting too gunky.

Btw, you and your family are so beautiful and your dreads are coming along very nicely :)
