No one else may find this exciting but... I was caught in this lightning storm while at work and lighting strikes were hitting all around me. I was working on this gravel bar by this river and the ground was literally shaking and lightning was striking all around me and my coworker and I have never been so scared in my entire life. I really thought I was going to die. The worst part was that we had to swim across a river to make it back to the car and being in a river while lightning is striking is not a good idea. I have never screamed in my life, but I was screaming that day...
I've worked outside around metal many many times in lightning storms. Usually wrapping up what I was doing, but it's still crazy.
I would have been a wreck. Rather difficult as being in the water is not a good idea. Glad you are ok!!
I have a good friend that had a near miss doing similar work way up in northern Ontario.... he pee'd his pants glad you made it ok
I am glad that I didn't pee my pants! One of my coworkers got lost when he was trying to make it back to the car and he ended up in someone's grow and so he was getting shelter from the storm underneath some pot plants, so that was also pretty sweet.
cool I guess, but I wouldn't want to be hanging around whenever the "farmer" returns. You should also watch for booby-traps as well if you stumble upon someone's pot patch.
Oh, I know that. He was actually super freaked out about being trapped in someone's garden and he made a run for it as soon as he could!
