Earlier this Summer (think late June) the VA sent our kids a letter stating that their dad has been dead since 1997. This Summer my ex-mother-in-law got a letter signed by President Bush stating that he was sorry to learn that her son is dead. Geez, I divorced him in 1997...I didn't kill him. LOL But now his VA disability has been all screwed up.. and he didn't get it today.
So they were sending money to a guy they thought had been dead for 8 years.........yep, the system really is slow.
that's the gov't for ya....the last couple yrs (that he filed taxes)they refused to even give him his refund. He claimed 2 of the kids and the IRS said he didn't have any proof that he had any kids.
