I was going to have some quick microwaveable vegetarian lasagna last night at midnight when I got home, so I put it in the microwave. Duh. When it came out, all I said was "It looks gross. *sniff* It smells gross, too." my momcame over and tasted it. She said "Oh, it tastes good." Then she looked at the box for the expiration date. THEN she said "Um, Hon, I wouldn't eat this if I were you. I'm trying to figure out how I;'m going to throw that up, actually."

    "Why?"
    "It expires February 14th."
"So it still has 6 months? What?"
    "No. February of 2004."
I almost died laughing, it was so gross and hilarious at the same time:pI'm sooo glad she was nice nough to eat it first...

Err, sometimes I have to eat stuff that old if there's nothing else around, lol.... my brother ate a box of stale cheez-its once, didn't care.... o_O I just hate it when it still tastes like the freezer door, not matter how long you cook it.

I won't touch anything without first looking at the expiration date. I am quite fanatic about it.

As long as it don't have any mold... :D haha... I remember the only thing my mom ever cooked was spaghetti, and she never would clean out the crockpot afterwards and it would stay fer weeks there and grow all kindsa mold on it... I saw this one type of mold in a forest once that looked just like it in this one batch. o_O It was a good way to diet... just go over and lift the lid... and breathe. Damn! Pretty nasty.
