Think a computerization can turn alive? That's evolution for you. How fine will it feel in knowing, then, a former, cheatful computerization hence alive, can and will recieve punishment? I say hand it an excessive punishment with during or an alive birth, to make it make up for prior cheating and prior errors. And the fitting saying hits then: "You can and you will!" Or: "You can compute; you will understand!"--Evolution What can be, will be. Part 2 of the rage against the machine. Once a comuperization system become so alive by, say, a freak evolution, it then is such the lucky devil.
I'm not sure if you understand evolutionary theory that well. AI is going to be a feat to pull off, but even then in order for evolution to occur you would need that robot to be able to make copies of itself.
It doesn't have to be a robot. It could just be a program on a computer - or more likley a vast network of computers. I like to imagine somebody creating a program that "evolves" or makes improvements within its own code based on its needs and eventually takes over the internet and becomes some all-powerful being with the power of the entire worldwide network of computer at its disposal. It'd make a neat story, anyway.
Not far from that theory would be an AI that was smart enough to code new pieces of itself on the move finding a virus on the net. Can you imagine the offspring if the two programs "mated"? BTW "Hail seitan!" >>>>>>>>> Seitan, the wheat meat.
