everybody loves raymond, but me!

Oh, god, i hate this show! I'm sooo glad it's off. Is it just me, or does every episode seem the same? Ray does something stupid, like go golfing or work too much, then Debra bitches at him, Marie comes over and intrudes, annoys Debra, Frank says "holy crap!" and in the end, they're all happy, and Robert will go "everyone loves raymond". Ugh, give me a break. It's bad enough this show is in syndication on about 5 different channels.

I think it's pretty funny...but once I see an episode,I don't want to see a rerun of it.

 

ive never seen an episode....i hate amercian sitcoms. but i have heard that raymond guy speak and his voice makes me want to pull my hair out.

i thought the very first episode i watched was clever, but then as i watched a few more, i did realize that they were basically all the same. I swear, their grandma is so stereotypical of gays, cause it seems like every episode she says "son...are you gay?"...and god...hate it hate it hate it

 

I dislike the way they play SOOOOO many reruns. Actually, all American sitcoms are entirely predictable, pretty much. You can almost always guess when the laughing track will come on, the actors are unrealistic, and the jokes are pretty lame. Is there ever anything worth watching on telelvision?

 

I prefer the retro shows. The people in the 60s and 70s put a lot of work into shows, especially the sets. Take a look at the sets on shows like Munsters, Gomer Pyle, Hogan's Heroes, Get Smart, Green Acres, etc. Those all took some time and money to produce. Today, all the sets are cheap and the same. Everyone sits on the sofa and pops off bad jokes.

The character of Ray is quite silly but his family are totally nuts.
It is well-written and acted and frequently wins awards
and his wife is played by the gorgeous Patricia Heaton(Below)

 

I hated the show from day one. It laudes multigenerational stupidity and dysfunction and encourages maladaptive behavior. In addition, I pretty much have a ban on any television shows that are set in NYC with the exception of the LAW & ORDER series (including Criminal Intent, Special Victims Unit and Trial by Jury). What's left? Oh... shows like SEINFELD and FRIENDS.

The only thing worse than loathing the show with a passion (which I did and still do) was living with a family that LOVED it and watched it on all the syndications. So I had to hear the show about 3 times a day 5 days a week.....OMG. I'm still in therapy for it.

The title has a great subliminal effect that gets people to watch. Could start a trend. Everybody Loves William, Jennifer, Jason, etc.

That gives me an idea. What about a new sitcom that takes place in a mental ward where people have come to seek out treatment from having watched too many bad TV shows. That would be great.

You think you had it bad. I worked at a restaurant that threw and EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND fairwell party. We had it on every TV screen...people laughing at nothing funny and then at the end they sang DEAN MARTIN songs to keep in the mood!!!!!

 

Dean Martin? You mean like, "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime?"
