Every Day is Barefoot Season

When you're a barefooter, you really (OK...I) look forward to changes of weather! Gonna rain? Great! Puddles and mud! Gonna be hot? Super! Hot sidewalks! Gonna be cold! Wow! A barefoot walk really revives you (OK...me)! Going barefoot with August leaves all around? All right! Crunchy dirty leaves to walk on! Snow? Sensational! Just as long as I don't slip (bare feet have zero traction)! And so on....

 

Yes every day is barefoot season and I love walking barefoot on fallen leaves and I love walking barefoot in the rain and in mud puddles and I really love walking barefoot in the snow I do slide a little bit in the snow with my bare feet but it feels so damn good walking barefoot in fresh fallen snow.

 

I used to love raking leaves barefoot in the fall. The air is cool but the ground is still warm. Finding those little surprises the dogs left under the leaves. Squish.

Cutting my lawn and my bare feet got a little bit dirty and a little bit green.

 

We'll "cut you" a little barefoot slack (get them dirtier!)
