Ever continue in a relationship long after your love for the other person had gone or died ? Ever been in a relationship with someone you stopped liking ?

Sadly enough, I had such an experience. It fortunately did not last more than the four seasons of one year. I did it because it happened at a time in my life when I wanted my identity to be that of a person in a commited relationship.

    What of you ?

no. Even 15 years after my divorce, I can't say I don't still love him, in some way. Love doesn't die, it stays with you forever.

yes, but not very long (same ex-husband, as a matter of fact). It took me a while to realize that love, by itself, isn't enough to make a marriage/relationship work.

Yes defenatly, mainly with my ex bf.

He abused me physically and mentally and tread me like a prisinor in our home that we had together.
I had stopped loving him long before we broke up oficcially but to me the relationship was deadlong before, I just needed the courage to leave and the strenght to stay away.

I have done so with success

Yes, I am guilty of this ten times over. I have definitely stayed in relationships long beyond their course has run. I simply have a tendency to forget all things bad about relationships and want to keep trying and capture the magic that once was at one point.

Why I have done this, I really don't know. It almost always creates a worse break up when it finally happens.

Guess its just the way I'm wired. Whether its a romantic relationship or a friendship, after time I always seem to forget the bad times and remember the good ones and feel that that the good times can roll again.
