I've had a lot of surgeries...but my favorite one was when I had a cyst on my breastbone and they just numbed the area and scraped it off. What was cool about it was that I was awake through the entire thing and I held a mirror so that I could watch them do it. It was weird hearing the scraping sound the scalpel made against the bone, but not feeling a damn thing.
I had a surgery on the muscles holding my eyeball in place. Strabismus I think it was called. It was pretty painful for a month afterwards. but at least it worked!!
I would never want to be able to watch something like that DancerAnnie... you are brave! The most I've ever had to deal with was having my wisdom teeth removed. Not a big deal.
I suppose it's not fair to ask others and not share mine. I have had three: 1. Open Heart when I was 6 months 2.Appendectomy in fourth grade 3. Gallbladder removed when I was 18, it was already a dead organ (black and leathery when its supposed to be robins egg blue and soft) completely fused to my colon and 100+ stones ...and I am going to need another heart surgery eventually....
^ Rough I've had a knee surgery because I was having problems with it and it hurt when I played hockey and did hard labour. I had 2 months before the surgery and did alot of energy work on it and sent loving healing intentions. 2 weeks before the surgery I told my parents to call it off, I was fine, I was healed. They didn't believe me so I went through with it anyway. After, the doctors said I was fine and they had no idea why I needed surgery. My parents don't doubt me anymore when I tell them im fine
I had my appendix and my tonsils removed. Both were a long time ago. I should've had my hand operated on when I broke my fifth metacarpal, and my leg when I broke my fibula, but it was too expensive.
open heart surgery? i'm glad that it worked out fine. i had surgery on my ears at least 5 times by the time I was 5, and a half dozen times after that until i turned 12. i wanna say i had surgery on my right knee but i don't remember if i just imagined that or not..... don't have my tonsils or wisdom teeth anymore either totally thought i was writing "sugary"
Wow why so much surgery on your ears? Yeah I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out this week, but I called and cancelled because I need to have it done in a hospital instead of a dentists office because of my heart.
tubes and other things. my parents said i was deaf when i was born. perfectly fine now, though. what's wrong with your heart?
I have mitral valve and tricuspid valve prolapse. So basically they used tissue from one valve to help fix the other and I was born with two holes in my heart, one larger than the other so I have artificial stuff in it. Now I have PVCs(premature ventrical contraction) and PACs(premature atrial contraction), Which are early heart beats. Those can get dangerous if there are four or more in a row, right now I am at three. Fun times...
WOAH! You have my upmost respect, I really wouldn't be able to handle all that.. Not in a million years.
