It's also very long. It went over my head, I'm not exactly brain-sharp today.

Wanna break it down for me?

    Well... hmmm..

What can I say, I have been trying unsuccessfully to get my Church to get some good upbeat music going on.

Sadly.. they found the most 'somber' low-key songs Luther gave us.. and axed any of the jazzy ones!?!

So Im certainly in favour of 'jazzing up' the average Sunday.

Having said all that - the article didn't do a thing for me.

The point where i was lost for good - where the author suggests that Jazz is percieved and associated with being 'vulgar' or 'Savage.

    Huh?

Maybe this was true 100 years ago (I dont know) but for all my life, Jazz is associated with 'sophistication' and even 'elitism'

Never heard anything different... although Bruce McCullough from Kids in the Hall suggested that 'Free form Jazz' just might be the music of Hell.
Personally - I think Country-Western has that honour wrapped up.

    :O
