tramadol anyone????? I told my doctor that with modern medicine it was ridiculous that she expected me to live in pain...and she actually agreed and so now i am a happy girl with a 102 degree fever...bad news they're running lymphoma tests on me because my immune systems been so low this past year. I think it' s just because I work with kids and I got a little fat which my body's not used to. anyone ever have a lymphoma test?
I'm sorry): What were her symptoms prior to the diagnosis? My mom is really freaking out I wish I didn't tell her. I didn't even know it was a form of cancer before I told her. Like I said I prob just have a low immunne system from working with kids and having too much fun lately...hopefully that's it.
Yes, I would be freaking out too if I were your mom! That's what moms do. We freak out when it comes to the safety and health of our kids! Your immune system could be low due to a variety of things. Mine has been pretty low for the past two years. It's been that way ever since I had my twins. My body went through major hell having them, and I'm lucky to be here today. But ever since, my immune system, my white blood cells, have been on the low side. I get my blood drawn every 4 months to check on them, and they always seem to be lower than the norm, but nothing serious. However elevated white blood cells can signal possible cancer as the body is trying to fight off infection. I really hope that everything goes okay with you. They might suggest that you start taking a vitamin supplement if you're not already. Let us know what happens. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best... {{{Hugs}}} P.S. I really hope you start feeling better soon!
That's why they want to run the test because my count from saturday was abnormally high even for fighting of an illness. I'm only 24 though I mean it can't be anything serious at 24 right? How many people really get cancer at 24?
i dont know the exact details but she ended up getting shingles towards the end and she was on the experimental chemotherapy(was experimental at the time)...i never knew her so no need for appologies...
lots of vitamin c... ive been taking it like its my job cause i deal with sick people all year long at my job...
Thanks Chris How's your break treating you? I had the most awesome cookies last night chcolate chip oatmeal with coconut. mmmmm He tried to pack me a tuperware container of them but stupidly I said no): adn now im like damn i want another cookie
Well it's good that they're investigating. It could just be because you've been so ill and your body is really trying to fight off this bug. I'm not sure if mono can cause an elevated white cell count?
they ran mono tests on me a couple of months ago and they came back negative. I think it's just my body fighting this thing off and hope that all the tests will come back normal.
Yes, jerry's right. Vitamin C is excellent in helping ward of illness and strengthen your immune system. My doctor also had me on iron supplements for a while, but that was mainly because my red cell count was very low at the time and we were trying to build that back up as well. Not sure if the iron helps with the white cells however. You take care of yourself, you hear? You've been so busy lately it seems, and you're working your tail off. You need to make sure you're resting and taking care of yourself. Oh and make sure you drink those fluids! Flush that sickness out of your system! {{{Hugs}}}
break is going iffy...i'm kinda bored. but my friends are home now, so things should pick up. all i've done has een shopping, went to the mall with my sister yesterday for 4 hours and all i got was 2 things. i have no clue what to get my mom, dad, or sister...so i'm going shopping again tomorrow. those cookies sound good though.
Well that's good that they came back negative then. You're probably right, your body is just trying to kick your sickness's butt out of there!
they were good and the guy was really nice but he thought I was older than I was): and I thought he was younger than he was...ah well we'll see what happens ): I'm sorry your board. It's always one extreme or the other; isn't it? Always super busy or bored as a rock that's how my life usually goes though
yea, at school i'm always doing something, mostly useless crap...then when i'm home, i do nothing, which is also useless...i'll find something to do....you just make sure you get rest and get healthy
