I for one Hate emos with all the fire of my mind and heart but I am allways interested to hear the thoughts of others
The emobashingtrend is as pathetic as the emo-trend. Actually, all the cool people who keeps yelling about how sad the emo-scene is are more pathetic I think. I don't love this emothing at all, but I don't hate 'em neither. It's not that black and white as you put it I guess.
I don't hate the look seeing as though some of my friends choose to dress that way and they still listen to very good music. In fact my girlfriend has somewhat of an emo haircut but her soul is still belongs to Black Metal. Lol In terms of the music, I don't care for it all that much. If the band has talent though I will atleast give it a try regardless of genre.
Global emocide process initiated. Actually, I heard a few MCR songs, it WAS kinda catchy. But then everyone's telling me it's not emo but poppunk so yeah I don't know if I've ever heard tr00 emo from DER ZATANIK VNTERGROUND EMOKVLT.
Everytime I say a band is emo it usually isnt so I dont know what it is anymore...I mean was I on the right track saying Hawthorne heights and Dashboard confessional were emo? I am not to particularly fond of the scene but a band from the genre with some talent in my opinion is saosin. They have very good musicianship. But with my luck they wont be emo either...
I saw the coolest emo ever at the Xavier Rudd concert last night. Knew all the lyrics and all. But he did have the hair, the clothes, the eyeliner, and the earlobe-stretcher thingie.
i'm totaly clueless what this whole emo thing is anyways, but i dont hate anyone..but i do pitty anyone who hasta proffess so much hatred just based on music or style choices pretty pathetic
I feel the same way, only I am unfortunately not clueless to the emo thing. I personally don't listen to music that is considered 'emo'. Well, anymore, anyway. I don't hate it. I just don't feel comfortable because they are always talking about heartbreak and it's kind of depressing...I try to stay away from depressing things because I am just too damn sensitive. But I'm sure if I weren't like that, I would enjoy emo music. I usually enjoy all kinds...minus rap(Unless you count Wierd Al's White & Nerdy).
i'm clueless mainly cause i refuse tolisten tothe crapon the radio..havent owned a radio in many years..for me its either live or..if i gotta listen to recorded then its reggae..(or that stuff i sent ya) for pretty much the same reasons, keeping a possitive vibe never heard emo in my life, but no matter how bad it could be theres still no reason to hate
I don't hate the style or the music, just the way some "emo" kids act. Like "Woah is me, my boyfriend broke up with me. We were going out for a week. I need to go cut my self and then try and get people to pay attention to me.". That's how the majority of emo people I know act. I think it's pathetic and annoying.
whats that line.... i wish my grass were emo so it would cut itself there's really only 1 emo band, Fugazi. Although I hate these epitaphs, the Cure is really the progenitor of that wailing whining cooing whimpering moaning vocal style, however the Cure wrote good songs.
don't think i mind them...though i think i'm beginning to get more annoyed by people who diss emos cause going out of the way to put emos down, then the next min the emo is all upset and beings to babble on about who they are - which is just a waste to their life i could admit that the whole emo becoming over popular and stuff got me off the music a bit being that the sounds tend to be similar know
I hate to sound elitist, but most of this stuff they call 'emo' these days isn't actually emo music at all. I consider emo to be bands like jawbreaker, drive like jehu and the promise ring. This whole 'OMG i'm so emo' thing does piss me off immensley, I must say.
well idont hate emos but i hate emo we have a rock pub in the town i live in and all of a sudden you cant get a decent track played as all the emo kids are lisning to the whiney shat they call music it does my tree in
