emo kid commits suicide???

According to the Daily Mail, a 13-year-old British fan of BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE hanged himself after being bullied on Internet social networking sites for his clothes and love of "emo" music and punk rock, his parents believe.
Sam Leeson killed himself in his bedroom after suffering months of "sickening" abuse from cruel youngsters who bombarded his home page with offensive emails.
The schoolboy was tormented about his love of heavy metal, "thrash" metal and "emo" music — a style of hardcore punk whose fans wear dark clothes and have long hair.
His devastated parents and siblings believe he was driven to take his own life by the abuse and name-calling he received on the sites.

Is it bad that i don't care, seriously one less emo kid in the world, hell if we could get about 10,000 more and bands like my chemical romance to follow suit we would be doing the world a favor. Seriously killing yourself over people hating you on the NET, sounds like this person was already a sad case to begin with. Where were this kids parents, ohhh right probably smoking crack in the living room, taking no interest in thier childs life. Of course the music is going to be attacked or the net, when really doesn't this come down to a parenting issue? If you notice your child is into emo wouldn't you take just a little interest in thier well being? Seriously have you heard bullet for my valintine, IT PROMOTES SUICIDE, hell the music alone makes me want to kill myself. However I DON"T because i'm not that fucking stupid, it's sad that these parents neglected to take any notice of this poor kid....however it's not a music issue YOU LIKE MUSIC YOU RELATE TOO.

He was an emo kid, so his parents will have been sitting in the living room sipping chardonnay. The daily mail likes to pretend that emo makes kids kill themselves. But it doesn't, chances are he was getting bullied offline too. Seems like the parents are playing the blame game here, as tends ta happen.

Online bullies? Parents blaming everyone but the emo kid.

It has got to suck loosing a kid to suicide.

I would probably blame everyone else too.

But I would have thought a kid this sensitive would have given his parents some clues hat something is going on.

I imagine the parents feel guilty and are just trying to shift blame.

I do not like emo's But it is still tragic that this looser offed himself.

Just say no to emo!

 

anyone killing themself for something like that is terribly sad i find, simply because within a few y ears they probably wouldve grown out of it or at least they wouldnt be bothering him anymore. there wasnt a need for him to kill himself, but i guess he saw no other way out, which is doubly sad that he felt he couldnt go to anyone for help

and i also think its the bullies fault, htey kept pushign and pushing and id bet good money they knew what they were doing was wrong/mean/cruel

 

Theres obviously alot more to this then him just being bullied online.

meh. It was probably some upper middle class whiner with no reason to complain but his parents making him get a job to support his eyeliner and black hair dye habit and offed himself cause the radio told him it was cool. Give me a break. Its the kids fault for one, failing to talk to someone about it if it was so bad, failing to deal with life like every one of us functioning humans who have shit of our own to deal with, some more than others, and something as east to avoid as turning the computer off. Pussy.

fyi, i don't really care if some kid committed suicide after making it blatantly obvious he was in love with the entire concept and suicide culture. it's not like a shock.

 

right on the head! makes no difference to me whatsoever. maybe it's culling the herd. ridding the weak from the population.
