i think elvis presley is very underrated when it come to acting,his early films,like king creole and jailhouse rock really show what kind of good actor this guy really was,oliceman:
I agree. The early movies were good. 'King Creole' was probably the best followed by 'Jailhouse Rock'. Some of the mid 60's films were ok also. I've always enjoyed 'Speedway' and 'Kissin Cousins'. He was offered some very good movie rolls but his manager would not let him take them as they either didn't involve a lot of singing (so they couldn't flog a record out of it) or because Elvis would not have been top of the bill. Tis a shame really.
