electric bill

I'm ordering a whole set up from Growco indoor garden supply, and it has a big grow tent two 600w hps lights two fans, and the twelve plant epps and flow system. I'm worried about the electric bill running the two 600w lights 18 hours a day and the fans running with the lights. Can anybody make me feel better about how much my electric will increase. Also can anybody tell me if I'm getting a good reliable set up that I'm buying.You can find the information about the set up at, google Growco indoor garden supply. Thanks.

 

do you live in a house or a apartment?
You say you have 1200W and fans. Im gona guess 1500W max consumption..
Nomally you wouldnt be using this type of energy during the spring and fall if you lived in a certain area.. Where climate would keep heating and cooling cost to a min..
During the winter 1500watts or more would look like a heaters/ in the summer cooling units. AC.. ects..
cutting use of microwave ovens, electric stoves, clothes dryers, reducing home lighting to Clfs.. This 1500Watts 1500 watts x 18 x 30 = 810 000 watts. wouldnt even be noticed..

You americans got it easy its around 10-15p a kilo watt hour in the uk so at 1500 watts thats £2.70 per day and thats frightening.

 

math isnt my best subject. but that sounds about right Rock. The bill would come out to $70.00 a month USD.. running 1500W a month.. One can learn how to use more power in the winter for vegetation growth..

 

With the poor exchange rate 75 a month in usd is about the same here in pounds so to us thats not that cheap. At that usage level you really gotta start making saving elsewhere or it will start to show on the bill that something is going on. Do like the bands of usage you have its a flat rate here unless your've got one of them special deals for cheap rate at nights.

Cali has a has about 3or4 steps the one uses:>( so about $100+ a month. I live in a tree and sleep ina gunnysack but my 'lectric bill is $150 a month, ergo my medicine lives better'n me;>P

 

Hehe its not the size but what you do with it that counts. All mounts up though every watt you burn.
Make me laugh some of the newbie's in forums who run way over the top lighting for first grow coz if they mess up there be hard pushed to pull more weed then the cost of the electric.

 

my bill was about $1600 for 90 days at about 2300w and the was separate to the house

 

opps i just rememberd the 80 amp pump that got turned on 12ha every week
