Who are you voting for this election? I know who I'm voting for Left of the left of the left of the left! Greens!
labor here going to be my first election as well. how exciting ! ............ lol tho i don't give labor much of a chance with all the bad publicity mark is getting and the whole interest rates will raise crap. you know i heard that the dems have been giving a lot of their votes to the libs or at least they did last time.
Lower house is safe National party. But at least Kay Hull answers my letters unlike that twit I have for state parliment. Upper house. The Democrats now have the underdog status.I thought it was wrong to have food excluded from the GST as it cost the food business a great deal of money that had to be factored into the prices. To give an example my local IGA supermarket that only has four cash registers had to spend $8000 on new cash registers even though the ones they had were bar code ones but could not cope with applying GST to only some items.
hasnt the country prospered immensly under him? Whats the strike against him, that h sent troops to iraq?
well basically he lied about everything. he lied about hecs fees for one... which is the big thing that bums me out personally. you can say that the country "prospered" but at whose expense? certainly not the refugees that are living in the concentration camps here. and i haven't personally "prospered" from going to war with iraq. in fact, i think the only person in this country who has is little johnny himself.
well from what i've read in our newspapers and brief reading in your newspapers, his administration turned the economy around. And i know the immigration camps are bad, but atleast your government is doing SOMETHING about them...the bush administration is pretty much encouraging illegal immigrants to come here, heck california was even going to give them drivers licenses(figure that one out) until that was stopped by the california republicans.
actually i wouldn't trust a word ur papers (or our papers for that matter, it's all driven by the same media moguls) say about howard. he's a Bush loving ass kisser basically and the media loves to make him sound like a fucking saint. In fact, on his last trip to the states, Bush reportedly cussed out Mark Latham, because Latham refuses to suck up to him. there is a distinct difference between the illegal immigrants you're talking about and the one's i'm talking about. First of all, the "immigration camps" here are actually Detention centres. And it's not just illegal immigrants put in there... they're asylum seekers, which is perfectly legal. In fact, our govt has been known to allow more illegal immigrants to live freely in australia and have more rights than the people who come here seeking refuge. We have a "white australia policy" which i'm sure you heard about while you were here, which basically says if you can speak our language and pray in christian churches, then have some free bbq! but if you wear a headscarf or have a natural tan - bugger off! I'm not saying that Latham is an angel or anything... but I believe our main priority at the moment is to get rid of Howard. which is why we should give our #1 votes to someone who's preferences go to the right parties. this'll outline it more clearly than i can http://www.johnhowardlies.com/
also we may get stuck with peter costello ! well i think hes papers refure to interest rates, correct me if im wrong but im sure when labor was in and we had 17% interest rates there was a "small world depression" or something along thoses lines...
I dont know..I hate both parties and there is no REAL choice, but I won't donkey it. If I have to choose between two evils it would be labour, just because we need a new prime minister, and their preferences are going to the greens arent they?
also know that the bank administrators have said that intrest rates will do their thang reguardless of wos in power
