I was wondering if anybody knew if there were egg beater products that didnt have any eggs... because i was shopping and i decided too look at the egg beater products and i noticed that all of them said "made with real eggs" and that theres just no yolks in the product but they do have the whites. ive been vegan for about 6months and i never ate eggs before but i was interested in a new recipe. anyone know of any real egg-less products? thanks

I don't know about egg beaters, but my mom found "egg substitute" for use in baking things, at a health store called Queens. We made pancakes with them, and they worked just fine. Perhaps that will be of use to you in your search. =) Good luck!

unfortunately you cannot simmulate straight up scrambled eggs. There are some reciepies for scrambeled tofo, but admitidly it is not the same, but tofu scramble still tastes awsome! Tofo eggless egg salad pretty much tastes like real egg salad though. Vegan egg replacer is only used for baking and it ususally works just fine.

    Tofu scrambled eggs are gross.

If you are baking I use applesauce. One egg is 1/3 cup applesauce.

I use applesauce when I bake stuff. It works well, the only problem is that it doesnt rise, so whatever you are making will come out short and dense. So I usually compensate by adding extra baking powder. I make vegan banana bread this way. A few months ago I made a bunch of loaves, some with eggs, and some with applesauce, and let me tell you the vegan ones tasted a lot better!

    peace and love,
    Sam
