Something I hadn't noticed. That McCartney tune is in the key of E major. When played on piano, when 'ebony' is sung, only black keys are being played. When 'and ivory' is sung, only white keys are being played. A black key and a white key are played in pair during the two-part harmony lyrics 'live together in perfect harmony.'
There was a little bit of thought put into that song. Even though I don't actually like that song I have to say it's well constructed.
Play it in the key of E flat. Then the black and white thing will be reversed. Would work great when playing on one of those keyboards where the black and white keys are reverse color.
This is the Worthless Information I love to file away. Thanks, that is a great find. Thanks for passing it on.
