Something I hadn't noticed. That McCartney tune is in the key of E major. When played on piano, when 'ebony' is sung, only black keys are being played. When 'and ivory' is sung, only white keys are being played. A black key and a white key are played in pair during the two-part harmony lyrics 'live together in perfect harmony.'

There was a little bit of thought put into that song. Even though I don't actually like that song I have to say it's well constructed.

Play it in the key of E flat. Then the black and white thing will be reversed.

Would work great when playing on one of those keyboards where the black and white keys are reverse color.
