eBay is great. I rarely find myself actually bidding on anything, though. I usually just use the "buy it now" feature when it's offered.

I tend to only do the buy now also as I don't have the patience for bidding. I also am not on there often enough to keep bidding.

I don't buy a lot on there with the exception of Christmas but I have never had a problem when I did.

I missed out on a camera - it was only £5 (turned out to be the winning bid) because I hadn't logged on. Doh!

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Praktica-...Cameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item3f2c8e815d

I usually go for the 'buy it now' feature...
Unless the auction doesn't have much time left.

I've only been 'burned' once or twice. Generally, just buying stuff that was cheap.

A £50 tablet that is a bit slow and wasn't as 'new' as they said (looked like it had been returned) - it still works, and is usable for watching films...
    Plays BBCiplayer etc
    Terrible seller...

But then bought another tablet (also £50) and that was in perfect condition, fast and the seller communicated well when I had an issue (BBC iplayer etc does not work)...
    Great seller...

You can get these issues in 'real' shops' too.

Overall, not had any reason not to use ebay...

I'm addicted to Amazon. Prime 1 touch buy is killing me. Just ordered another TIG welder because the price was too awesome.

ebay is good. lost out on a sweet Harris Tweed jacket last month. got outbid in the last minute.

lots of online stores have a shop on ebay (along with etsy and some other online sale places) - the belt i got a while back came from one such seller. ease of buying was how i decided to go through ebay vs his private webpage

plus, i have amazon prime - so its all about finding the best deals

I've never had a problem with eBay. PayPal has always refunded me if something isn't right. That's happened 3 times over 8 years or so.

i had a small problem with ebay, because i had to return a defective item and pay for the shipping in order to get a refund. so it was a waste of like 5 bucks.

i used ebay for awhile to buy cds and videogames, but i'm over that now.

i use amazon more, because i can order shit for free with points on my credit card. i've gotten some free drug scales, a videogame, a few other things.

Whenever I get on ebay(which is pretty rare) I get addicted for a couple weeks. I like it because there are some items that are difficult for me to find at stores and in general I hate malls and shopping in person, unless I know I'm going to find what I want, which means going to a specialty shop.

On ebay and amazon and etsy I find the kinds of things I want, easily. I did once buy a mouse on ebay that only lasted for a week but other than that everything I've bought has been nice.

Lol... I used to do this. I would queue up shopping bags on various retail sites. I would seriously have to close the window out before doing too much damage. Then I would find myself refilling another cart with another site. It was totally awful.

    Just.........keep abstaining.

They try to sucker you in with the google ads now, they knowwwww where you've been online.

It's designed the same way they design the software in poker machines. We've got heaps of those in this state/country.

Try to find some stuff to sell on Ebay. It's even more fun watching the money coming in.

Wow, I can't say I have filled up virtual baskets before.
On ebay that would be too dangerous!
My account is linked to my paypal account, and it's literally one click - it's all done/bought payed for.

I have tried to clear my 'cookies' and browsing history to stop them keep knowing where I have been.
I imagine it's on their servers rather than my laptop. PIGS :p

    I will try to abstain

I'm filling the empty space/time while at work. I don't do this in my own time.

No thanks . I actually have one of those Samsung smartypants phones so don't need another phone. I hardly know how to drive it at all even just to answer if it 'rings'.

I've got 4 pages on my ebay Watch list. Put $5 down on a record the other day and 'accidently ' won it. Now I'm up for $20 postage as well. Bugger.
