so i want to make my love a hat with ear flaps for christmas..... his ears are gauged at like 5/8 so when the wind blows through the metal plugs it makes his ears cold..... i have looked at a couple patterns and i just cant understand them very well.... if anybody has a simple pattern that i can emprovise my own way i would really appreciate your help.... thanx much love peace
crochet or knit... if knit then one without the circular needle becaue i cannot get a hold on one of those before christmas..............
http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/kwe-earflapHat.html uses dpn's, not circular needles, if that helps. http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=1840 is a kid's size, but can easly have stitches added to fit an adult head, crochet http://www.knitty.com/issuefall02/PATTvinterlue.html nice, although unfortunately uses circular needle which isn't what you want, but nonetheless http://www.crochetme.com/flappy is also crocheted a bit tight for christmas, but I hope these help a little!
